Massbait!! This loan lad would love to hear from you!

Dan has been trying to get a loan from 'Elite Financial' for several months now, but things just aren't working out. Failed payment attempts, bad scans of WU receipts, improper Money Gram numbers, yelling at my bank because they wouldn't send money to my friend in Nigeria. It has been a real ordeal.

Most recently, I sent the lad a beautiful scanned copy of my WU payment of $1000. Wouldn't you know it, the clerk put the PAID stamp right over top of the MTCN number. Very Happy

Of course Dan is perpetually confuse, and it has taken over a week for the lad to explain why he is unable to collect the funds.

I think I like his subject lines as much as anything... these are from the past week...

They particularly hate this where the accompanying email advises that the Mugu is now going away for a week and will be unavailable by phone or email. I have known desperate Lads to even print the slip off and hold it up to the light, trying to see the digits under the 'PAID' stamp.

^^I really like the PAID stamp too, because it makes it real for the lad. Up until that point, at least a part of him believed that I may have been a joker, but now he believes 110% that I am just some stupid mugu who can't figure out how WU works. Very Happy

Dan finally understands what the lad is saying, and tries to offer his help in deciphering the blocked numbers:

I have told my future husband in Lagos that a real man would raise his voice at the US Diplomatic Mission instead of just walking away like a puppy dog with his tail between his legs. Nice one. Dangling cash is always good.

I would rather have the guys that do drugs and rock and roll than the Western Junior manager in my town. All he does while he is supposed to be doing the transfer is looking down my blouse. Its totally disgusting and maybe the reason for the mess up. The manager is intentionally screwing up so that I have to pay for new transactions and he ogles me some more. I think the next time I will keep my cell phone video camera on just to count the number of times he drops his pencil.
