In honour of the much loved Paranoid's contributions to eater for almost a decade, we have decided that Pastor Om4r's next adventure will be known as the Paranoid Memorial Safari, or PMS 2015 for short.

RIP to a true baiting hero.

Sad Sad News, Paranoid was a long time member here, one of those members that simply made Eater what it is, he will be missed terribly. RIP Paranoid, gone but never forgotten.

Such terrible news. I can only imagine the loss for his family and friends.

I got to know Paranoid pretty well during the Famoh Bait, now in Eater's Greatest Hits: Here

He was central to that, surrounding our scammer with lots of characters to keep his head spinning, while ever nudging him wherever we decided to move him. Long after that bait dwindled and sank to the bottom pages of Premium, where it lay hidden from public view for years, Paranoid kept the lines open and quietly strung Famoh along for at least another year.

Paranoid was a skillful baiter with a great sense of humor, and as others have pointed out, he was one of the nicest people you could ever want to meet, if only online. I will miss him. I'm grateful that I got to know him as well as I did, wish I knew him better, and regret that I never got to meet him in RL.

Goodbye friend. Thanks for all of the fun.

I am sorry to hear this. He and I shared some personal emails about our lives when I first ended up at Eater, and I am sorry he has passed. We both liked Frank Zappa, too.

Even though I have never really been in contact with 'Noid, for some reason our paths never crossed, it pains me to see he is gone. Eater certainly lost a valuable member of the community and thus a friend to us all.

May his soul rest in peace and his legacy live on - he's done great work and it's up to us to keep the good fight he fought going.

I'm always saddened by the loss of a Brother or Sister Baiter. Doesn't matter if I knew them, Knew them well, Or didn't know them at all.

I haven't been on Eater much so I only just now heard. I wasn't fortunate enough to have much interaction with Paranoid but I truly enjoyed reading his posts. My thoughts go out to his family through this difficult time.

I never had much contact with Paranoid but I was aware that he was highly regarded. He has highlighted something I hadn't really considered much before. To me (as many others I suspect) eater members aren't real people.
They are a collection of humorous stories, helpful advice and a comedy avatar. It's only when something like this happens that the avatar becomes a person and the loss becomes real.
I hope his family find solace in the number of peoples' lives he obviously touched ... rest well.

I'm so very sad to read this news. Like Luckey, I got to know him better through the Famoh bait. We also crossed paths here at Eater regularly and chatted sometimes. He was a gentleman.
ParaNoid not only contributed kindness and humor to Eater, he also worked as a moderator at ScamWarners.

He will be greatly missed. RIP, my friend.
