Dear all,
Bored with just being a Freemason (not), I have been kindly invited by 'Lord Priest' ([email protected]) to join the Illuminati. How exciting! However, he wants me to buy the following items for an unspecified 'sacrifice':
edin 79$
ekwe 67$
obodo 59$
uhomo 70$
akumati 50$
cobra egg 40$
Total 365$

So,
A) what on earth are these items?
B) are they to do with black magic, in which case I drop this bait?
I would be grateful for suggestions on what to do next.

This looks a lot like the "spellcaster" emails that have been discussed rather substantially here in the past. If so, baiting them is against 419eater rules -- it falls more into a category of religious practices and not fee-based fraud.

I'm drawing a blank on most of the listed items but it looks like ekwe is a traditional wooden drum:

^^^The rules say that we do not bait spellcasters regardless of whether it is AFF or not - black magic is a real belief for many lads and there is no way of knowing if he would actually do the sacrifice if paid.

I doubt he's going to rattle $400 on bits and bobs, but fair enough.

^^^That particular surplus letter has been addressed with a warning now. As has been said, we do not bait spellcasters. Period. This is a spellcasting response to join the Illuminati. The baits should be dropped.

Most Illuminati scams are perfectly baitable. As long as they are just typical AFF (you need to pay a processing fee, purchase a certificate, make a donation, etc.), go ahead and have fun.

As others have said, as soon as one takes a turn toward black magic or voodoo, it's time to drop the bait.
