So Months ago I received a call from a Mr dennis brown of "publishers clearing house sweepstakes" who informed me that I had won 5 million Dollars but would need to send money up front to cover the taxes. I convinced him i only had cash to send. He gave me a missisipi address to send the cash to a Mr Rodney Rodriguez. I called the local cops who were pretty much useles in the end. After getting the "cash"(cut up coupons) I mailed his associate he called me saying there was no cash and is this a joke to me. I assured him i was dead serious and that his associate must have taken the cash and robbed him and me, which he believed! After that the next time he called i impersonated a scammer myself, told him i had tricked Mr Montell into giving me his phone by posing as a Verizon employee which he believed for some reason. I told him i was a gangsta and wanted in on his scam which he was happy to do if I could find Mr Montell.. Next time he called i told him i was the police and we were looking to locate the owner of the phone, a Mr Robert Montell, and he told me that when I found him and he claimed the phone to please have Mr Montell call him asap. This is the short version, I have ran this guy in circles for months and am getting bored. Again, the name he knows me as is Robert Montell and his number is <snipped>. If anyone has any interest in picking this up, I'd start with something like, "Oh Mr dennis, thank god your number is still I my phone! It was stolen but was recovered by the Bloomfield police and is broken but I was able to get your number off it. Is the 5 million still available? " or just mess with him in general that would be swell.

Hi.
A member of staff will be along in a minute, but I'd encourage you to look at the forum guidelines, in particular this bit:
| Quote: |
| Do not post email addresses, profile links, or phone numbers without sourcing them to a scam mail, fake site, or other verifiable evidence of scamming. The potential for abuse of non-scammers is too great. We're not saying that you would point other baiters towards an ex-significant whatever, cheating spouse, or that neighbor who never returned your power tools. We are saying that in the past, others have. Moderators reserve the right to remove un-sourced phone numbers, links, or email addresses, or just delete that particular post entirely (they're like your credit card company, lots of reserved rights). |

Hi, 2many - what he was trying to do is make a distinction between 'scamming' and 'baiting'.
Scammers scam - they're criminals.
Baiters bait - we're not.
No offense was meant. |

mr2manycars,
If you are doing this while using your real life email address and phone number, breaking all the contacts with the scammer is the most rational thing to do.
If you really want to bait scammers, maybe this link will help you: https://forum.419eater.com/forum/cherrie_mentor_program.php.
Better safe than sorry... |
