So, a friend of a friend posted on FB that someone was interviewing. I'm looking for a job so I decided to go.

This is what I learned:

Anyway, the reason I'm posting was to check if this is new, having scams like these started with an actual in-person interview, then moving to email. It was really scary!

The guy said they'd email me an electronic contract (no paperwork, again!) with further instructions, and work would start within a month. They only have my name, address and contact info (off my resume).

I have no idea what to do next. I want to take this to the authorities, but don't know when or how, besides, they have done nothing wrong yet. Also, would you advise baiting, and to what extent? Maybe just one or two more calls/meetings before I politely decline their offer?

I think that this is a mule scam, you'd basically be handlng the proceeds from fraud and when law enforcement come knocking your the one stood holding the notes.

This is unbaitable as the scammers now have your personal details, please stop all further contact with the scammer, no more meetings, don't answer phone calls etc.

Not sure AFF, but certainly odd. I'd steer clear.

Hey Doctor Paul!

As Father Moleman says “This is unbaitable” and for several reasons other than the fact that they do have your Personal information; one being that you aren’t even sure if it is a Scam (Dodgy yes but nothing is confirmed).

I’ve had many interviews in Bars over the years and I was always on time or early (Just a dig eh?) but when things didn’t seem right to me I simply walked away. Again as FM says this might me an Employment Scam but without any evidence no educated opinion can be given.

Address sent. Looks like a collection of stock images and video designed to make people think their operation is legitimate.

Haven't received the email they would send me.

Trying to reach the person who posted about it because it looks like she's not aware of what's going on.
