I'm a 64 year old woman who just discovered this site about a week ago. I don't have plans to actively look for scammers, but it's good to know how to handle the ones that come to me. I've dealt with a handful in the past few months, not as extensively as many on the site have, but it's been fun to see how stupid they can be. The site has been very informative & entertaining. It's sad to know how many people actually fall for all their ridiculous schemes & it's good to know that there are so many members looking out for them however they can. Keep up the good work. |

Thank you and welcome to Eater! If you're messing with scammer, please do so safely. Open up a shiny new gmail account with NONE of your real life info-just make something up. Then when you get a scam mail answer from your fake persons account. I guarantee the scammer won't notice or care about the change in email.

If you gave any personal details (real life name or email address) to your scammers then you should stop communication immediately. We are dealing with criminals here and we don't want them in our real lives.
Other than that it only takes 5 mins a day to fight the good fight. If you are interested then read the stickies. Baiting is a lot of fun.
If you don't think that baiting is for you then you are still very welcome here. I think that you will find that this is a great community. |
