A bad start to the year

Just when I was going to get back into baiting in a big way, RL got in the way. My name came to the top of the priority waiting list for a transfer with Housing ACT and I ended up having to move house two days before Christmas 2014. I'm absolutely delighted with my new place as it's a lot bigger than my old flat. My new place is a large two bedroom townhouse and the whole house is mobility friendly as well as having it's own laundry, courtyard and a proper garage for my car.

Then in February ended up in hospital for two weeks after having emergency surgery on my right femur. Was out shopping and slipped on a step, fell and broke the neck of my right femur almost all the way through Sad

. Got at least six screws and a plate holding the bone together. Still in a bit of pain but I'm walking a lot better now and can get around the house without crutches. Only use them when I go out for extra stability. One good thing about the accident is that I will never be able to be given another MRI. Always hated MRI's as I"m extremely claustrophobic.

At the end of March I had some terrible news that a close friend of mine died of a drug overdose. Poor boy had been in quite a bit of trouble over the past few years but for the last few months had been cleaning his life up and getting back on the rails. I am able to do one last thing for my friend and that was to give his Staffie X a good home for the rest of his life. Had promised my friend I would always take the dog in if he was unable to look after it for any reason.

Now to start blaming the lads for my accident. The idea makes me feel much better already.

Eeep. I have a screw in my wrist and a chunk of my hip replacing the Scaphoid bone that was supposed to be there. I don't envy you at all.

Wow, I am so sorry to learn of your recent health issues, but glad that you are on the mend. My condolences on the loss of your friend, and kudos to you for
taking in his beloved dog! Without your selfless gesture, the poor thing could well have landed in a shelter.

I am also pleased that you have found an appropriate dwelling that you like so well.

The others are right -- you are fortunate to have lads to take your fraudstrations out on -- there's nothing quite like lad slappage!

The lads are in for a really rough time of it from several of my noms de hack toi make up for all my recent pain.

Looks like I'm going to have trouble from my friend's father about my dearly beloved Blue. Claims I'm not a fit and proper person to be looking after the dog. I've had a variety of different animals (including dogs) for at least 30 years and they all died of old age and were more than well cared for regarding food, lots of love and affection and it was straight off to seen the vet for an immediate checkup if the animal so much as even looked the slightest bit poorly. This guy has a dog of his own and he can barely look after it properly let alone take it to the vet if needed. I'm the one that has to take the poor animal to be patched up when needed and I end up having the pay the vet bill as well because he won't pay.

That's my rant for the evening. Now to start on some lads and give them as much grief as I can.

Welcome back DB, there is nothing like a bad start to the year, except making some lads year pure h3!!.

Take care of the new hardware you have and screw with the scammers. Pain is best when it is shared.

Sorry to hear of your mate. I have had at least one friend OD and it is stunning and painful. Take care of you!
