This started as a romance scam, last year in August - the lad was located in Accra, Ghana and pretending to be from Los Angeles, United States and London, UK in the same time:

A stop code 9 was placed on the box to to be delivered yet to your house due to a certain payment which is suppose to be made before the company can release the box but it was brought to my notice that the company was closing down and you were suppose to claim the box before the close down of the company,so therefore a favour was done by the company to pay for the delivery of the box into the country.

We are not yet permitted to release the box to you yet due to the delivery charge,we received the box without knowing the content yet, I have personally taken the box into my custody, for as soon as the delivery charge is paid to the company, the box will be delivered to your house.

NOTE: Failure to comply with the company as soon as possible, the said box will be scanned to know the content,if the box contain some illegal materials, the customs and police will visit you at home, to ensure that does not happen, communicate with the company the box came from,as soon as we get COMFIRMATION to release the box,it will be done.

September 25 - The Ghana delivery company:

I sent a message to the security company director where your box arrive from to know if you have settled the bills you owe the company before I can release your box to be delivered to you, the director told me she has been in contact with you on how the money can be sent over to her but you are demanding for a bank transfer to make the payment and due to the close down of the company, the company does not have a bank account now for you to make the payment through but have to be done through western union money transfer or Money Gram, you have to make that possible as soon as you can,I will not be able to take care of your box for long, if the Airport Chairman should find out that the box is in my possession, he will make me release the box to the head of Customs for scanning to know the content of the box and that will lead to you facing issues in court due to the content of the box.
I have also been going about to know what the box will need to get through the Airport without scanning, a certificate is suppose to come with the box from the insurance company, the certificate is a powerful certificate which can guide the box out from the Airport without scanning, you will have to obtain the certificate with the help from the insurance company managing director, I ask her about the certificate and how much it cost and she said she will get it from the
Supreme high court, it is a Free passage certificate, once it is paid for, it will be scanned and sent to me and I will print and staple it to your box, contact her to know how much the certificate will cost you. Get back to me as soon as possible.

October 5 - the delivery company:

At this moment, you have no idea who the sender is and, by the emails I received from you, you have no idea either where you need to send that box... meaning you are the one assuming things. I just try to understand this weird story of yours... No wonder why your company got closed, you have no idea how to deal with your own business...

October 10 - the delivery company:

Do not even dare to blame me for that, Ms Sonia. I was never spoken with you or your company before this incident. Meaning are no chances you received those info about me from me. When I asked who the sender is you told me you have no idea. When I asked where you are supposedly to send the box, you show me you have no idea. Do you have any idea what are you doing anyway? They told me the box was send by mistake in Australia and it was sent again to Manila. On October 22, the same company told me the box was taking over to Thailand. How the box can be in Australia, where you are, if the company is telling me it was sent to Thailand, after crossing Manila? You told me the person from that company in Ghana is your closest friend and for this reason you were involved in dealing with my box. You don't even talk with your friend at all? Friend or not, you are telling me the box is there with you and he is telling me the box is with that Diplomat being last time in Thailand. Sounds you both have no idea what you are talking about. How it was possible to make a delivery of that box without my address - if it is a mistake it is not mine's. And you / the company have my details already as long as it was possible for you to contact me using my email address. Try to clarify all those problems with your friend before threatening me. I lost my patience long time ago, trying to get a straight answer from you or that dying company in Ghana dealing with this box...

To add to the confusion, Melbourne International Airport is in Florida. The airport in Australia is Melbourne Airport (which is international).

We are not meant to keep the parcel forever, if not released and delivered to you as soon as possible, I will have to send it back to the Ghana Government as an abandoned property.

Can you try, please, to send me those documents you have regarding that parcel? I really don't understand why you need again my details, as long as that parcel was sent to me but, instead of arriving here, the box was traveling half of the world to end up in Netherlands. Also, I don't understand why a Diplomat was needed to deal with my box - I never had any contact with that person all this time. If I understand right, that delivery company in Ghana was almost closed last year and this was the reason the parcel end up with Gertrude Edward to get lost no idea where. How you can send that parcel back in Ghana, when that company does not exist anymore?

I do not want to sound disrespectful, but you have no idea what you are talking about. The mistake was not mine's. I was trying for months to solve this problem and looks like everyone having anything to do with my parcel was a mentally retarded or just plain idiot. As you can see in those documents you sent to me, I am the receiver of the parcel, not the sender. My parcel was in so many places that I lost the track. Sure that damn box saw already more countries as I have. This whole story begins to resemble more and more a relay race where people run in circles and lose the object they should care. Who is Mr. Nana in Ghana? I have no idea what he has to do with my box...
