This is not so much baiting, as warning, so I thought I should just post it under "my work". There is a new strain of the Nigerian scam that targets writers (my field), so I wrote about it on my blog:

This is more of a news type of post than a bait, so the topic is more applicable in our General Chat section, where I will move this thread in a moment.

Please also consider posting this link at our sister site, ScamWarners.com. There is a section of the forum for employment scams. If you still have any of the correspondence, please also consider posting it! Scammers use the same scripts over and over again, so having the text there may help save others who do searches for any of it.

Thanks for posting this. I am a freelance writer by profession, and have shared the article with my writers and editors group.
We have members in the States, Canada and in the UK, so this will appear in front of lots of writers who will appreciate the warning.
