Weirdest opening email ever?

Surely this has to be a baiter's feed to a lad? I can say this is one of the strangest opening scam mails I've ever received. Makes a change from a lottery win, rich orphan, fake charity etc.

Why I am contacting you is because I don’t want to be part of destroying innocent persons, so I want us to carry out necessary ritual to free you from this bondage and set everyone free who has been tired here by my late father, the damage has been done already so you have no choice than to do the cleansing otherwise you will never succeed with any of your transactions.

As soon as we finalize cleansing ritual your ways will be open and all your business will begin to succeed

I'd say it's a spellcaster/voodooist's pitch, and as such, not baitworthy.

Agreed-a very unique take on a spell caster format but still not baitable under our rules.

Yes, there are a few spell-casters around at present with very similar pitches - variations on a theme - though I have to say that's the weirdest one I've seen Shocked

As a matter of interest, a few years ago an elderly man of Asian origin used to peddle his talents as a clairvoyant and spell-caster from door-to door in my neighbourhood . One day his mutilated and partly burned body was found on parkland nearby. Subsequently four or five members of a family in close proximity to me were tried and convicted of his murder. Their defence was that he had scammed them out of several thousand pounds .... so it isn't confined to the more exotically backward parts of the World .... although, when I cast a glance around me and see what's going on .... 30 miles from London! Embarassed
