The mass is 11 kg (not counting packaging) and the volume is 6 L (again not counting packaging) and it's going from California to the Netherlands. What's a realistic sheeping for that?

I didn't realize until you posted that he had actually asked me to include shipping on the original quote as well. Since it's not usually part of the script I just sent a quote that said nothing about the shipping. He followed that up with the usual "I'd like to use this sheeper" email.

Bottom line, it doesn't matter. Just put in some number!

I googled "calculate shipping kilogram", found a shipper's rates, and figured it would be somewhere between $150 and $200. She should have ordered transmission grates; they are about four times as many grams per dollar.

Just received an email after several days of silence, and I've sent an invoice. She hasn't mentioned her own shipper nor has she offered any form of payment. She must be fairly hard up for cash at the moment.

She sent a message that she's ready to finalize the order and pay for it. I was not in the office yet. I started some jobs on the machines, went to the office, and answered that I'm ready. It's been an hour since then, and she hasn't answered. I need to go out.
