Hi there. And nice to see the website is still up and running and going strong...
my issue is Ive come across a lad that if he/she wasnt so persistent I would have never gave it a second thought and deleted his emails..... BUT.... having the baiter bug still in me this one I want to pursue and see where it gets me. Now. The lad states he is emailing me from Australia. Trouble is, he/she is using an outlook.com address and header analysis returns a washignton ip, as do all other msn hotmail etc....
my question is. is there a fake website for us to lure the lads to click on so that we can get a more accurate ip location? I remember there were some long ago but couldnt find anything in the searches.
Any help woud be appreciated |

More and more email providers are hiding IPs, making it harder to track these bastards. Some people have mentioned using the ReadNotify service (www.ReadNotify.com). I have not tried it yet myself. I have uncovered the IP of a few lads who I Got to use the SPTS (WU Secure). It logs their IP, which you can see in the stats.

^^^ The Dane and I did some testing with my premium ReadNotify email tracking and document tracking services with gmail. The IP was stripped out and it only gave me a 40% likelihood of what city my docs were opened up in (where RN usually gives me an 85-90% likelihood). |

I have RN. It doesn't provide an IP for any of the free email services that I can think of offhand except (sometimes) Yahoo. |

Hey thanks for the replies, I was thinking more like a fake website where i could lead the lad into clicking the link so he can see my passport scan for example. That would surely return an original ip of the visitor to that page. Kind og like those moneygram webpages we used to have or the million questions page. We saw how long tge lad stayed how many answers he answered etc. anything like that around? |

That would work. Give your lad a unique link and look for a single IP hit. If you have a domain with Cpanel this is an easy job. |

ok, so i created a webpage with a statcounter embedded in the source.
the results differ from what the lad said.
lad states he/she is in Lawn hill national park, which is in far north queensland and that hes using the station internet to communicate with me about our business venture. BUT.... statcounter returned this:

how can i interpret this? think this is cell service inside adelaide or could a ranger station 2000km away have internet through telstra and be given ip address in adelaide? |
