One problem in using Pidgin - you get messages like this and you have no chance of doing phone calls.

Mr G0mer put himself forward as a hacker but the Lad insisted on a phone call before joining the gang and I have no chance of pulling that off.

It would help to have an accurate translation to know how W00ster is to play him and whether or not Mr G0mer has a way in. I plan for W00ster to tell him he's been to London to get a visa to visit Nigeria.

G0mer slapped him off when I realised that I was sinking into Pidgin hell but I can still play him one-handed as W00ster.

I know that we have some experts and I'm hoping that one will come along and give me a translation. meanwhile Bertie can play his end and, if I have to, Mr G0mer will just wing it.

I get the feeling that the Lad is trying to lay claim to Bertie as his property and, as I couldn't handle a Pidgin call (I doubt many could), G0mer had to give him a brush off. That being the case the perfect response is a very arrogant and angry blast of insults, and I have a lot of saved Pidgin ones to use.

One problem is that Pidgin isn't a form of communication that is precise from my experience.

I think the general sense is that he believes that G0mer is doing well out of Bertie and he is using 'honour among thieves' to lay claim on the money, which is quite funny.

I could always invent a partner for G0mer who doesn't use Pidgin if I want to play that end.

That's fine. He's just wishing me the best of luck and hopes I get money and he's sort of 'bagsying' it, if that's an expression that's still used.

It's a very long shot, but I have time to waste.

Mr G0Mer chopped the Lad. Mr Gomer's henchman is planning to chop Mr G0mer and I'm giving the Lad the chance to chop the henchman, but it'll only work if he intercepts Bertie in Cotonou - is the idea, but it may be too much for the Lad's brain.

Just an idea out of nowhere. How bout using an email scheduler to launch the emails when the lad will be asleep? You know he will be on vaguely CET so if you mail him from the far east he will be hours out and not want you to phone him. I think Google Labs had such a system at one stage.

It's a good idea if you're operating 'multiple personality' baits as it's going to look really suspicious if everyone replies to the Lad at the same time and it's a pain having to do it manually.

'MP' baits appeal to my twisted mind and they are amusing which is half the fun to me, and mechanising them is even better as I'm already using pre-written scripts until the Lad gets hooked.

I don't fish, but if I did I'd be the one with all the gadgets, and I'd concentrate on the beer and having a snooze in the summer sun until I get a bite.

I doubt the Lad will bite but, as my character Bertie is ill, I have plenty of other Lads I have on the back-burner I can call on. Illness is a great excuse for not replying at any stage and then kick starting a bait in the future.

Oooooh - he just phoned me (BERTIE) but it was only a very short call. I presume that he was just checking me out. I got it recorded on my answer phone, not that it's interesting.

It came into my landline via a flextel number so my identity is secure, but I was expecting it to be my elderly Mom. Laughing

Ohhhhhh - he follows up with a much longer call and now he tells me that he is in the UK - not Lekki as he told Mr G0mer. I have this call recorded and I was angling to set up a meet in London but his credit must have run out.

I must go and deliver shopping to my Mom and then I'll be back to get the calls available to listen in. Then another call and I've offered to arrange a meeting in London with me, him and Mr G0mer to sort this out. Of course my stupidity winds him up no end. Laughing

I best not let my Mom starve to death, even though this is fun and I told him I had to got to the bank to purchase the $150,000 as we use £ in the UK. That seemed to set him off again. Laughing

A 419 scammer in the UK - who'd a thunk it ? - and he admitted it on the phone.

This is fun and I play stoopid exceedingly well. Very Happy

My head is spinning with evil possibilities and I must check out my Skype as I feel that a call from Mr G0mer's henchman has comic potential, but I need to check that the recording prog I downloaded at the same time as Skype is working. I haven't used either in ages.

Surprisingly no emails to BERTIE yet. Maybe I'll have something when I check later.

After the last phone call, I have heard nothing and, even though he mentioned sending Bertie an email, he hasn't sent anything so I think it's dead.

For interest I'll see if I can get decent copies of the calls off my answerphone and posted up but I don't see the bait developing.

Though he claimed to be based in Lekki, Lagos to Mr G0mer it's much more likely he's in the UK as he said to Bertie.At the start of the first short call there was some chuckling in the background, and I think he wasn't alone. Pulling one over on a UK Lad who is part of a team is likely only to succeed by straight baiting and that wasn't what I was doing.

No - it isn't over it seems. I just got another call, probably from someone different, who wants me to call another number and I asked to receive an email as Bertie has a terrible memory and gets easily confused.

I think it's a VOIP number of some sort but it doesn't work.

Another call from the scammer and he asked why I hadn't called. Clearly I'm being passed around the houses, but I don't mind. At one stage he said I wasn't British Shocked

because I couldn't get through.

I'm not getting emails as I imagine that he's become thoroughly paranoid.

To be honest Master, I'd prefer something better, as they're still just chasing the original money and ignoring everything I push under their noses, but I have to go with what I've got.

I've got more calls to add and I've sent the scammer an email from Mr G0mer's rebellious henchman and pointed out that in spite of his wish to do business, the scammer has nothing to trade.

I also Skyped the Nigerian number as Mr G0mer and gave him an ear bashing but I think I woke him up and he wanted me to call tomorrow, which just got him more abuse from Mr G0mer.

I need to set up Skype call recording which I should do tomorrow.

I wasn't going to add anything to this as nothing very exciting was happening and I thought that I had pushed him as far as I could several times over without him biting, but each time he comes back by phone, as he did this morning.

I'm not going to chase after any Lad, but i think he just can't let go of getting involved in such a big deal. He hasn't bitten for anything I've tried to lure him into so I'll see if he can come up with anything better.

If he does I'll add the rest of his phone calls. He no longer seems comfortable using emails. Laughing
