Just got a piggie off a long going bait (long for me ).
Would not give bank details and basically dropped me only to cave in 4 weeks later 
I was surprised the lad was from Redmond, Washington (WA), United States
when i checked his ip address are 419 scams common there and is the lads account more likely to get closed down / investigated in the States as opposed to the likes of nigeria ?

I think the Redmond thing is to do with Hotmail type accounts. |

I think you'll find that's Microsoft's IP.
Many email providers strip sender IPs now and it's an increasingly unreliable way of telling where anyone is. Nice work on that piggly... patience pays in pigs. |

A Bank Account today I got from Police Interpole is a Bank in London. First time I have had one from there. |

I once found a mule who was on US sex offenders list. Infromation was from -80s or so work-from-home offer may have been too much to resist for an elderly person. I did report that one to moderators and apparently cops did something about it but i have no further information. |

That's what we do. Bait and Report. After that we rarely know what the result was. We do get clues sometimes though. For instance, if you report an account and stall for a few days and the Lad comes to you saying not to use the first account and gives you a second one. You can pretty much guess that either the owner of the account got warned and told the Scammer they weren't working for them anymore or the account got closed. |
