I did read all the links and the OP,s first post i now fully understand that there is no need leeting names to the max for many reasons .

If i was a Lad trying to search if i became suspicious i was being given the run around i would simply google the content of one of the emails i recieved as well as the name .

With Christmas only 4 days away and Church mass to arrange and many other commitments at this time of year my time is precious .

I sent that to a lad in an email and if you google that its on page one .

Are these Lads really to lazy to do this ?

Rarely, the Lads will Google your E-mail address. I find the South African Lads do this more than others but I have no idea why. Several have pointed me to my E-mail address listed at the warning site. I usually use this as a heads up to search my own addys and clean up any errant listings of my E-mail addresses.

Oh I think I'll always be a Newbie.... I am forever getting things wrong ! I don't do it on purpose and you'd be shocked at how long I take to consider what i write... and then get it wrong anyway !!

To Leet or not to Leet... that is the question !

If I put things in, they get taken out and if I disguise them, that's not right.

I just want to get it right ! I'd never heard of Leeting before this... mind you, the one I have just posted and over leeted in Romance /Dating wouldn't care if he found himself here !

If yes, what happens if I write "Angela" to a search engine?

Do the first 10 result contain my thread in Eater?

How about the first 100?

Is the lad likely to even do this, let alone browse the results enough to find this particular search result for "Angela"?

If no, then do I need to leet it?

If yes, do I need to leet it or can I replace "Angela" with "Lad", "Ted" or whatever else?

If not, do I need to write "4ng3l4" or will simply "Ang3la" do?

Reverend.... I am always happy to be told I have done something wrong and to be able to learn to do it better. I would much rather that than people just not telling me and thinking I should do better and I hate places where they talk about you behind your back. If I am not told, I think I am doing it right.

I love this community,I think because we have a common aim and a common foe ! Everyone is tolerant of everyone else. Which I have welcomed.

Since baiting I have learned so many surprising things. I would never have believed some of the things I have read on here.... this was a world I didn't know about. Never thought of some of the things I would say to people and they believe me ! Strange world.

Because people of all sorts may come here then it is best that we do things which make it easy for everyone. I did used to think lads Googled.... My first ever bait pulled my bank details to bits and told me my address didn't exist. Little did I know that he was not the usual ! Another has told me I had put him on SW but that is all... in all the emails and baits, just 2. So I am more careful now and more inventive with the truth.

I welcome the rules for sight impaired people, I have to admit it isn't something I had thought of.... which I should have done.

I didn't know so many of them wanted to send you pictures of their.. 'you know what'.... one this afternoon and another tonight ! It's getting to be a flurry that is 3 in all ! Just a little shocked and amused ! I'm really all todgered out ! ( the young lad tonight sent me a picture of his 'pines to get me exited' )

So... I am happy to be told how to do it right.... there is so much to read and take in on here.... but it has brightened my days many times.

Here is to 2015 getting more accounts closed down, more cards out of the way of doing harm, more websites toasted and more lads interrupted and annoyed. beers!

DoomAngel, the rule is as much for those who are not sight impaired. It just does not make for "clean" reading. I'm sorry you took my post so hard. You are not the only person receiving a comment about unnecessary leeting. We all learn as we are here. It does take time and you will find the more reading you do in each forum and sticky, the more efficient baiter you will become!

I try to do a lot of reading here.... but then there is always a post that points to something I've missed. Like today I found the fake WU forms etc... now, I'd missed them. There is a lot to cover !

Some of the knowledge, I have learned from here, is not the latter.

It has made be change the way I deal with the WWW. What to say and what not.

That said, it is almost sad that these algorythem companies can be so invasive.
Me and my loving wife have always ragged on our kids about what you post on Facebook may come back to haunt. Well one had a bit of a scare and it was dealt with just 2 days ago.

Now I am going to give a little speech on leeting and when it can be a good thing.

To the baiters, thank you for a low cost edumaction in internet protocal.

Bumping this. I hate to be a total ass, and notice I didn't leet it, but we do have members here who cannot enjoy what you write due to unnecessary obfuscation. If you have doubts about a name. Use Chuck, or Bob, or Joan, or Mary. If you want to provide a lads email addy and are worried about him finding it here, post it at Scamwarners and paste the link here.

Thank you for bumping (disregard pm if not read yet!).

I did go change my character names in this area for my thread. I made it Justin Creditble and Missy. Pretty easy to read and figure out but not for google.

Honestly when I started reading posts with all the characters changed my thought was "this person cannot type". I didn't know the reason for it and it seemed to be everywhere. Maybe not now but it did seem like it. Now I get why it was done but why it should not be done.

Point about text to speech. Never had it on a computer but chucked at the gps a few times. Going to a UPS store once, it says "Arriving at Ups." Not U-P-S like the movie "Up!" with plural s. For IKEA it was Ikey. Now try an say it when leeted, totally different I think. Now I get it!

Anyway, hopefully now that it is bumped again, it will fade to black and we can all read in peace!

This Canadian is off eh?
