I got this rental scam from somewhere here but cannot find it again.

This is a rental scam. Basically they offer apartments in New York City for lease. They do not exist. It is on SW too all about it.

I sent a very quick email asking about it and got a reply with their website and details. I told him I did not want to send my information to their website so I just emailed it to him asking for a one year lease on the one place they showed.

As luck would have it, they have it available! I got it for one year at a price of $21,600 all included. Man that is cheap for NY isn't it? Oh well.

Best of all, I got sent a pink piggy right away!!!!!

So here are the characters so far:

Justin Cretible: Some of you may know him from elsewhere.

Missy is his wife, she is on the sidelines kind of. Always loving to help or so it seems,you will see later! She is also very much pregnant with triplets and LOVES that Justin is leaving her for one year to work in the states! Right Missy??? Rolling Eyes

So we are off and running.... first transfer made yesterday... now the wait. What to do? What to do?

I am thinking failed transfer, still didn't work. Missy (wife) shut the account down. More delays.. Still more problems. Send new pig please. Wash rinse and repeat!!!!

Update:

I wrote the guy (girl?) and told them that I was off to work but sending my wife to the bank as she is going to the dr. today anyhow. I dropped a hint of how po'ed she is about me taking work in NYC during her pregnancy.

So when I get up later today, I will be home from work and let him know that M had no problemos at the bank and the deposit should be on the way to him in a day or so. What could go wrong? Rolling Eyes

Oops did I mention that JC was snowed in at work and M was home all day. No problem, she did the transfer from home on the computer and showed hubby when he got home. I emailed the landlord and told him the money was either there or on it's way.

He has wrote me back already, just saw it. Oh well, Justin is at work right now anyhow and he does not want to deal with hormonal M yet Smile

Well he was at work and she was home with 2 feet of snow! AUGH!

Johann's lawyer will receive a personality (has been somewhat a side character before) and start trying to get a place in NYC. Anyone has an idea to what landlord he'll go?

Then, without any prompting whatsoever, after asking for the rate for the whole year, I get this:

Hmmm that could be. No email from him yet panicking so who knows! Tomorrow maybe when he tries to find my bank and says WTH? Than he should *cough* more and we shall see if we are still the same or not.

Just some advice from my experiences, patience is key here. When the lad emails 15 times a day, you email once. When the lad emails once a day, you email 15 times. Control the lad, but get them firmly hooked. Second piggies can take a bit more time.
