I've got a lad who needs a $175 fee for WU to release $2.5M in $5,000 installments, what is the next step? Should I give them the WU forms or what next?

I've discovered that the forms shouldn't be used to open a bait, he's still on script so by default he doesn't trust you, even if you've been a perfect victim.

Good news is, your bait is still very much a clean slate, you have sooo many options, you could get robbed at the WU place (they are always in the shady parts of town, right?) the lad could get chopped (you get to introduce a new character) perhaps the WU office was closed for renovations and it's a long drive to get there.
ETA: of course all of these don't happen in one email, there is always lead up.

Just don't give in, always be delaying. If you've been replying fast, it's a good opportunity to slow down after seeding some doubt "oh, I'll try to do it after work, but we have been really busy" stuff like that.

First WU transaction is where the fun really starts, because it's time to get him off script, and then to trust you so you can do even more fun stuff.

If you don't already have one, get a mentor, they are great for these little things where you need some inspiration. Or read through some of the other successful baits to see how they started. But still get a mentor, they really are great.

I'm sure your character has lots of unanswered questions that need to be cleared up. What is Western Union? How does it work? Can't you just send them a check in the mail? If they're going to be sending you all that money, why don't they just deduct the fee from that?

And whatever questions need to be asked, ask only one per email. Laughing

Then, when that one has been answered, ask the next one.

Send this first, then if you hunt through the stickies, you will find various blurred/mis-scanned copies of WU forms

Send those
then email saying you are sick of this fecking around, you do internet banking as it is quicker and you don't have to travel to find a WU office, and what is his bank account to transfer the money into

Once you have that, report it to a Mod, then carry on asking for another bank account after a few days as the first one was declined by your bank, no reason given

Do not Panic!!!!!!

The lad is after YOUR money, you don't have to be at his beck and call. Wait a day or two, then reply with the above scenarios, or more questions

Do not try to be smart, intelligent or full of BS, all the Lad wants is a compliant, slightly dumb, naive victim which you can be

Also, please tell me you are not using an email with real life information.

Put the lad in the driver's seat. Like Orange Cat said, have questions every step of the way and periodically, don't understand the lad's directions. Forget things and ask for clarification once in a while.

Personally, I don't like to ask them if I can mail them their payment. If the lad gives me something that looks even remotely like a valid address, I keep it in my back pocket. Then, after a couple of failed attempts, I let them know that I successfully sent them their payment. Throughout a series of Q&A, it comes to light that I mailed them a check (or cash). It really ramps up their frustration and almost guarantees that you'll get a good rant.

No I've created 2 full characters with separate emails, the names are quite funny as well I think.

I've just had a look at the thread and it's given me an idea. Give him the blurry WU and MG forms, tell him i will split the payment over both, ask him to complete both forms and then send him on a safari to the WU and MG offices with fake codes, keeping him nice and occupied over xmas and getting a trophy in the process!!!

You could always send the blurry form and state that you wear a heavy prescription set of glasses so perhaps he should go to an optician to read it as it's quite legible to you.

I recall telling one Lad to use a giant size font due to having poor eyesight but his emails were a nightmare to reduce back to a size I could read.

Another silly idea to have some fun with is telling the Lad that you have memory problems and, starting slowly begin repeating things more and more in the same mail and forgetting what he asked in his last email.

I recall one bait way back where a baiter with a Glasgow accent phoned a Lad with Tourettes with every other word being a swear word. It was hilarious to hear the Lad just ignoring all the abuse.

I love the lengths that baiters will go to to piss off the mugus, my character is the Reverend Dr Amanda Hugandkiss, so I took a picture of someone in a Vicar of Dibley costume and photoshopped their face so I now have one eye and no nose, caused by falling into a volcano.

The blurry form and big font ideas are definitely good ones I'll try once I can get them off script, I used a counter scam, $30M USD of Diamonds my Church needs to have picked up, should be a fun way to try and get some trophy pics.

Remember, don't try to do too much too soon. Once they have invested time in you, then you can start being more outlandish...but again, draw it out. If you give it all up at the beginning, they will drop you, or if they are particularly gullible, you'll have less to work with for future.
