^^^Quite a few free email services are stripping IP now, including Outlook and Yahoo in some countries.

And even if you use a provider who doesn't strip IPs, unless you have a static IP that actually states your details or your employer's then at best they will get a general idea of where you are.

Hrmph. I'm busy writing PMs to my mentees and meanwhile you guys go read my mind and write exactly the things I was going to post. The nerve of some people.

But yes, echoing the two thought thieves above: let us not start the IP scare. If it was that easy, we too would have easier time tracing lads to their front doors. And I for one could think of several creative uses for that knowledge if it was readily available.

Point of the earlier reply (sort of) being that if the OP starts a thread in English and replies to all the posts in English, then perhaps we could make the brave assumption that the OP, in fact, speaks English.

I and others wrote in Spanish, because she understands Spanish, and English is her second language. I welcomed her also in Portuguese, because at that time I knew only that she is in South America, and just over half of the population of South America is in Brazil, where Portuguese is spoken. She didn't give any clue about understanding Finnish.
