I'd stay away from the spellcasters. There's a post here somewhere about leaving them alone. Don't think there classed as scammers but more backward thinking people that ply there skills in spell casting to make money. Enters into the whole personal belief side of things and they do genuinely believe their spells work

Ok... thanks for that. I thought it was just another way to get the fee !!

I'll leave them alone then. They do seem to cover everyting though !!!!

El Burra is right, we don't bait spell casters. There's a good chance that there's a genuine belief and the system frequently requires body parts, both human and animal for rituals. We do not want to be involved in this so there's a complete prohibition on baiting spell casters.

Pretty sure there's still a fee involved and its probably what we would call a scam but it crosses the lines into religious beliefs etc etc

Tried to find the blurb on it for you but no success, someone more in the know will no doubt post details

We came to this decision about a year ago after doing a bit of research on how the whole magic scene operates. It's not a pleasant situation by any means so we thought it safer to simply avoid the whole thing. There are always better targets out there masquerading as bankers, widows and soldiers Wink

Thank you for opening the discussion on that because I got my first spell caster today and was going to respond. Mental note for next time and thanks again for posting this!

Yes, When I first started here, I missed the instructions referring to spell-casters and started baiting one. Then I got the message as above, and simply did not reply any more, but the guy wouldn't let go. My character was a dotty little old lady, widowed, drippingly rich and utterly naive. In the end I had her 'niece' discover her dead in bed one morning, and sent the caster an email from the niece to that effect, then immediately shut the email address down.

Sad, really, because she was one of my favourite characters - but I've resurrected her under a slightly different name now, and she's just joined the piggie hunt in the Swine Farmers' Guild Very Happy

Pratchett's books drive home that belief is everything.

Believing in the bad spells they may cast on you may give them some effect. Placebo effect and all.
