I don't see anything wrong with your coding, so I'm not sure why your quote in your post wouldn't post properly - I would suspect it is your profile permissions.

That really depends on whether your IP address location is too close for comfort or not. If you go to www.iptrackeronline.com, the homepage will tell you where your IP shows you as being.

If it is too close, then using Gmail or Hotmail/Outlook will automatically mask it - Yahoo doesn't.

The other alternative is using a proxy or VPN to hide it.

I tried going to the IPTracker link and it says page can't be displayed. I don't know why, but it won't work for me.

And yes, my Disable BBCode in this post was clicked, so I have now fixed that.... I hope.

@SBAH My IP shows as about 5km from where I live, and I have a character that lives in that post code. It doesn't worry me as I'm in the centre of the city and if a lad wants to wander around looking for a woman whose name translates as child abuser then he is welcome to.

The only time I would worry is if my IP identified my building or employer, which is often the case.

Does anyone know how I can change my Avatar? I can't seem to find out how to do it. I've clicked on my profile button, but there doesn't seem to be any way to change it.

Click Profile, then edit profile, down to the bottom and you'll see where you can change your avatar. Upload from your computer. I think there is a size requirement, so make sure it fits.

I'll tell you the same thing I told my brother...

Elvis is great, the Beatles are great but THE BEE GEES ARE THE ALL TIME BEST!!! (gosh he used to get so pissed at me Laughing

Thanks for your help. It almost seems like I'm only able to view half the options that are available to me. I've used other forums and this one seems to be missing stuff, like a thread search, etc.

Either that or I'm just not in the right area. Maybe I need to back out to the very home page.

My Mrs. likes the Bee Gee's too. I keep asking her "What's wrong with you."

But it's all in fun.

Fiance was flabbergasted when I turned off Led Zeppelin for the Bee Gees! (it stayed on Bee Gees if you're wondering) Evil Lol

When you click profile, go down a little ways and on the left hand side there are options, click "edit profile" then scroll down to the very bottom of the page and right before "submit" you'll see where you can change your avatar. I hope it's a picture of Barry in his hey-day. Razz

I was clicking on the little profile button on the bottom of my posts, not the profile button in the 419 header bar.

Well, although we do listen to a variety of things, my wife treads lightly when she wants to switch my Elvis Radio Channel to listen to the 60's channel.

Although I do let her do so from time to time, but never during a George Klein broadcast. Razz

Is it typical to have to wait a few days when one replies to a scammers email?

I only ask, as I don't want to cast out too many lines and then have a load of replies and become overwhelmed.

It varies between lads. I got some scam emails and posted them here and on SW, then sent responses to some particularly short ones where I couldn't tell what the scam was about. One responded the next day; another took two days to respond. Sometimes a lad may take a long time to respond because he went on safari.

Yes, it does depend on what type of lad you're dealing with. Don't appear too anxious, but you want to appear to be real. The question I always ask "What/how would a real victim respond".

For instance, love lads - you can send a response and be busy all day with messages back and forth, whereas an inheritance lad you can wait a day or two depending on your baiting character. (Is he a busy executive or a lonely housewife aching to help out a poor individual who will lose their inheritance unless you step in.) YOU set the pace, YOU control the bait (much like your Mrs. leads you to believe you're in charge of the music) and it's ALWAYS the lads fault.
