Hi, I am totally new to this site - found it after I ran into a "Romance Scam Artist" a couple of weeks ago.
Fortunately my little red flags came up quickly during conversations / e mails with the young man, I started some basic Internet inquiries , could not find ANYTHING - which made me even more suspicious...
To make a long story short , I finally figured out how to check E Mail headers and wham : Nigeria 
My inner devil got loose  , I waited for his money request and as soon as he asked, i had scammer worried and on his toes for a couple of days, as I was supposedly trying to hand deliver the funds to bail him out. Got his "secretaries" name / bank info ( i figure another scammed vic).
Anyway - had I seen this Forum before, I think I would have extended his misery a couple more days....
I have been reading some of the stories on here , could not stop laughing - absolutely excellent work !!!! |

Hello Charisma and welcome to Eater! I'm happy you were able to figure out he is a scammer.
For future baiting..never bait using any of your real life information. It's just not worth the chance of him using it against you or your family.
Other than that, you seem to have a good start at baiting. Read as much as possible here and sign up for a mentor.

Let me reinforce JustCold's advice-drop the scammer that has your real life email address. It's almost impossible to talk to anyone from a dating site without giving personal details. We are big around here about baiting safely-from a brand new gmail address that has nothing to do with your real life information.
I'm glad you're reading-lots of good information along with the lols. a mentor can help you and give you good advice on how to increase lad pain.
Just a thought-if the scammer gave you a bank account to transfer money, you may want to pass the info on to any mod, like me. Eater has good relationships with the international banking community and frequently these account can be closed down.

Just a bit of a tip, for every funny bait you read on here, there are hundreds of straight baits going on. A lot of new members get caught up on obtaining a trophy or safari right away, become discouraged and quit when it doesn't happen. Our main purpose is to waste a lad's time, money and resources so they don't have it to use on a real victim.
I am looking forward to reading your baits. I am very glad you didn't end up a victim! |

If your Scammer's information isn't listed at our Sister Site Scamwarners.com. Please go there and get them Posted up in order to save other victims. Also, If you have the Scammer's Bank Account information please send it to a Moderator so it can be reported as being used for scamming. (They are the People with Green Names)
After sending the information to one of them claim a nice pretty pink Piggy for your Signature line. You enter the code in your Profile page and the code can be found in the Emoticons.
