Wow, normally I've been baiting straight and been too nervous to try slapping a lad, but today I made the plunge! I've come up with several reasons as to why I haven't made the moneygram payment (I want him to WU because he specifically said it was far from him, hence the moneygram). I finally said that MG wants a letter outlining the reasons for the fund transfer for "oversees" and his signature...the lad has the nerve to say it sounds like I'm joking with him! The nerve! Rolling Eyes

So I responded that I had wasted my gas and time driving to MG, that he was being a jerk, and that it was his fault for not telling me up front there'd be fees. I do hope I didn't scare him off, especially since he finally said that he wanted me to try WU if I was serious.

ETA: Throwing in a "If you would only help me...please" doesn't hurt either..

It paid off! He just replied! He apologized, and not only did he suggest WU, he gave me a mule acct number! Where do I report it?

Thank you! ^^ I guess slapping them really can pay off. I suppose they get afraid to lose their potential cash cow. So, I'll just tell him I'll try WU first, make him run around a bit...and maybe I'll pretend to try the bank transfer after. This should be worth some laughs. This one I might post when I'm done.

I'm proud of my first piggy...I'll add it once the account has been shut down, if they let us know that sort of thing. ^o^ And I promised the lad I'd be by WU tomorrow...now to make him travel out of his way to get the money that isn't there. That will be a hoot!

Sorry Giggle, but you may or may not know about the account getting shut down.

One way to know is if your lad tells you...another way is if Spot tells you.

The most likely outcome is that you will not know....and that's fine.

As long as you reported the account to a Mod...you may claim your pig.

Hi

You should add your piggy (and subsequent piggies) now - you may or may not receive feedback from us about a reported account. That is just the nature of the beast.

Reported accounts are dealt with, though - I promise that.

When reporting an account the following format helps:

Bank Name:XXX
Bank Address: XXXXXXXX
Routing nO: XXXXX
Account Name: XXXXX

Sometimes you will have more or less than that; we will need a mininum of the above and also the scammer(s) email, roles/names used and the type of scam - Please PM me those

Congrats and Welcome to the Pork Farmers Union of Terra Firma. As JC said, you probably will never know for sure if the account was actually closed. If you filed the report to a Mod, then you get a pretty pink Piggy for your Siggy.

Now stall for the weekend by going out of town to be with your Father for Fathers day and no access to E-mail until Monday.

Then on Monday tell the Knucklehead that the bank Manager tried to send the transfer but it wouldn't go through and ask for another account to send the money to.

Awesome! Thanks for the feedback! So, how does one add a piggy to their signature? And here's to hoping I get more in the future! First, I plan to yank him around for Western Union. He says he does not live close to a location, so I want him to drive out there to waste his time and money.

I might suggest you skip the WU payment. Those may be checked online. Also, if your lad is Nigeria, most of their banks there have WU in those. If I recall, MG might be able to be tracked online, but it is difficult.

Congrats on kicking him in the eggs and pulling his bacon!

Go to top of page:
Click Profile:
Click Edit Profile:
Scroll down to "Signature" Window:
Add: :$_ lad: but remove the space between the underscore and the "L".
Submit.

Added! Hm...I can kill some time with the WU ruse I figure. I live on the other side of the world from him (he's in China it would appear), so when it's night here, it's day there. So naturally, I send it while he's sleeping. He checks, then replies while I'm sleeping, so I respond back as he slumbers...etc. etc. I suppose I could always accuse the site of glitching, or that maybe the rural town I'm connected in doesn't have the option of online tracking...he says he lives far from the office, so here's to hoping I waste some time.

When it turns out he's too stupid to check, then I switch to his mule's acct...and surprise! It's flagged for fraud! And for that matter, why is someone in the UK using a US bank acct? Maybe he's not who he says...another bank account please. Keep it going.
