A British gentleman, not so recently deceased, has left me USD 30 million.
Or so says his loyal barrister who has untiringly worked to locate me.

It's not quite clear why he didn't leave it to me in in British Pounds or Euros.
What's clear is that the deceased gentleman was a widely-travelled generous soul who was a member of the Helicopter Society and "loved to give out aids to the poor, hungry and needy".

Tsk tsk Crying or Very sad

In eager pursuit of those millions which are undoubtedly mine, I replied:

------------
"Wow, this is great news.

I don't remember Mr Xxxxx but he must have been that nice old gentleman drinking at the bar at the last airshow I attended.

So, what exactly do I need to do?"
------------

I'm now awaiting instructions from the barrister.
If anyone would like to guide me, please do.

I get hundreds of these mails but have never replied to one until now.
This promises to be fun Very Happy

Welcome to the jungle. Take some time to read all the stickies and, if you want to keep on with the fun, apply for a mentor to help you out. You'll find baiting to be hilariously entertaining and, in a small way, you're doing a good thing in the vast wasteland of the internet.

If you've answered your scammer from your real email address, get out of there. It's not worth the potential dangers.

Fear not, you can still keep him on the hook. Just create a bogus gmail address and start answering from there. 99% of the time they won't even notice the shift and, if they do, you can just say that your old service was shut down.
