I've been reading into this since my last post.

It seems this method will still be able to snag the client's IP the first time he opens his email. But then the image will then be cached and no request for the image will be made again on subsequent openings of that mail.
On top of that, it may be that if the same lad gets hooked again in a future bait when he's using a different character, I wont get a hit if I send him the invisible image again.

This is what most people seem to be griping about. Gmail's changes don't affect our ability for tracking 'unique' opens, but we can no longer see multiple opens from the same client.

Might have to test this out when I get home to get a clearer understanding.

Not from my experience - even the original opening of the mail goes via Google's server to cache the image, so all you will ever see is the Google IP.

These guys have above average Facebook profiles. Watson specially. But once you contact them the "modalities" are the same ages old scam stories.

Watson comes in with the barrister that will get your fund. Sends you the fake CBN form we all know and asks for a $880 fee. But once you take them off balance they have no idea what to come back with.

And Fabio offers any amount loans (I asked for $25 Million for an experimental manned rocket to the moon and they said OK). Another form to fill and the advance fee comes right after.

Nothing to write home about.

@blackbean : I got your friend Fabio to send me an email from a yahoo account. Traced him to Cotonou, Benin.

Very recently another lad from Cotonou, Benin hit me on Facebook. This other one poses as a Banker in Spain. But his Spanish isn't worth a pint of parrot's piss.

Isn't that why we bait, to fuck with criminals? I see no more or less danger between a nigerian scam gang or an 'organised crime syndicate' as you put it. They're all crooks.

As for Spypig, I think it's dead. I use the following site, to upload a blurred, unreadable document early in the bait with Gmail & hotmail lads.

Just make sure you enter a password at every stage it asks you to, so you can visit the log file in future.

But if this scares you, maybe you should stay far away from baiting. There's no such thing as baiting lads who don't do anything illegal nor pose any kind of danger.

Hi guys, sorry i have not login for a few days. Rather bz with work and
now that Malaysia Airline MH370 went missing, everyone got distracted
but that's another story.

My mother in law was just complaining over the weekend that her FB
attracted no less than 6 "gentlemen" all wanting to to get to know her.
I guess if you want a fake FB profile, am elderly "lonely" housewife seems
to attract them like flies.

Just to share with my new friends here, I encountered a scam artist in real
life today. This fellow came to my wife's shop wanting to buy perfume for
his wife but don't know which brand. He said he's waiting for the wife to tell
him via phone. While waiting for the call, he told me he's from another town
he's a mobile phone dealer and is in town selling latest iphones for half price.
He did mentioned a certain shop he's supposedly supplying to.
He made a few calls in the shop to various "customers" asking them to
deposit the money and once its done, he will deliver the goods in the afternoon.

He had an apartment complex brochure in his hands and told me he just
bought one unit. He then called up someone to "arrange" payment of the
apartment in full by cheque. Anyway, this forum makes me extra careful
now dealing with people. Wink

His wife never called back so he asked for my fax no (which I said I don't
use landline) so he says he will come back with the list tomorrow. I called up
the mobile phone shop and they denied knowing him. I have his photo,
the number of the car who drove him away and I have his phone no too.
Anyway, that's just sharing my day. I hope you guys have more productive
time.

@blackbean: Like in all scams, the scammer makes the victim think he (or she) is making the deal of his (or her) lifetime "out of the blue". A new IPhone for half the price. Wow!!!

Still to be determined if someone actually deposited (and lost) the amount requested.

The Apartment is not so risky. I will sell real estate and take a check for partial or full payment. But if the check bounces the deal is off. Any real estate buy/sell contract will indicate that clearly in writing.

Now, you tell your wife to watch out carefully with those perfumes. If he comes back he will surely have some great deal to offer under his sleeve.

Nothing innovative here, folks. These lads are actually pretty dumb and rudimentary.

They are going to lend me $25 Million for a manned spaceship trip to the moon. I just have to send them $399 to France for the "only fee", and I will have the $25 Million in my account tomorrow.

I have told them that the $399 are already sent. And now they're asking for an MTCN number. But I requested, and received, some french guy's ID (looks legit). And I told him this is a new WU "safe" system, where no MTCN number is used. The guy has to go to WU office with his ID and collect the money.

Whether they try to collect in France, or Benin, they're in for repeated trips and considerable haggling and arguing at the local WU office.

And I just made a WU receipt, with a fantastic "Western Union" receipt generator I found in another post. The receipts this thing generates are just incredible. You pick all the options you want. And the lad sees his receiver's name and all details on it. Try it.
