I also have another gang of scammers expecting Ludmi!!a to visit Mali, so I would like to have both gangs chasing round the airport after our visitors at the same time. Another trick is to get one gang to make a public announcement so that the other gang know someone else is after their guests.

The greatest fun can be had if photos can be obtained and then passed between the gangs.

We can't get them all our people to arrive at the same time, but it can still be claimed that they've been picked up and taken to a local hotel. Of course others can find that their plane is diverted or perhaps they're collected by their Embassy staff.

Bamako is the Wild West and this is one report about an airport hotel from 2013.

I tried a call as Ludmi!!a but he said he couldn't hear me, and it's fatal if I try and speak loud in a falsetto voice as my vocal chords crack down low with hilarious results.

He heard me enough to know I was going to email him. Wink

I don't think Sharia law is ready for Ludmi!!a. Laughing

If he can't hear Ludmi!!a then it looks like Bertie will have to fly with her, to act as interpreter.

I'm going to prepare a pro-forma invoice for our buddies simply because I want to hook them in tight. Having another separate scammer I can arrange to be at the airport at the same time is an opportunity to good to miss.

It's just a matter of using every skill you have to make them believe that this is all their Christmasses arriving at once. It's best to go on a Saturday when the airport is busy and baiters will be most likely to be available. Maybe not this coming Saturday but the one after so that they can be given time to get excited.

Because not every airline flies to Bamako you could have your plane fly in to another country and then make a connection by a local airline, which would be tricky for the scammer to track. There's also more chance of the plane getting diverted.

I gave our pals a call as Bertie Wooster but they were a little freaked that no number came up on their phone, so they've asked me to email them a number. The call recording is utterly hopeless and I need to do something about that as you can barely tell that I'm speaking to anyone. I recall having this problem before and I need to be able to amplify the the other persons voice without distorting my own.

I'll give them a number and one that I can record another way so that I can get thing moving along.

Don't do anything I say but this is such a massive frustration I've spent a large part of the day sorting this out. It isn't perfect but it costs nothing and, even f you're a complete computer illiterate like me, it provides a solution.

I use a Mac by the way.

Obviously I have skype loaded and I use audacity to record.

It doesn't solve the problem, but what it does do is record the caller and Lad separately as two separate tracks, so that you can adjust for noise and volume separately which means that I have a chance of getting something audible to play.

You have to download another programme and I didn't find the instructions completely straightforward, but I put that down to me being dumb.

Bear in mind that in Northern Mali a war is being fought and that Sharia law applies with convicted thieves getting their hands chopped off. The airport is pretty militarised and Bamako wouldn't be the safest place to hang out, so Lads playing about at the airport would attract attention from soldiers with loaded guns.

I now have two Lads I can add to the fray, if I can keep all the threads together.

I'll plan for the airport rendezvous on Saturday 15th February so that everyone has plenty of time to play them and get them excited. You could ask if they have any need for medicinal alcohol and mention that you'll be calling in at your embassy being such a large deal. Check there is one there first.
Ludmi!!a's a girl who likes to flaunt so she'll be checking what she can wear.

This is one of my Mali gold dealers that I want to get there at the same time, and I have so many on the boil at the moment I made a screw up and replied from the wrong box. It didn't worry the Lad, so I thought I'd push my luck and ask for a photo.

If I can get a photo I can get it passed round as someone to watch out for. It could even be Mr G0mer Shocked

When others of you have got sorted you can tell the Mali charity scammer that it's been sent to you as the person to contact at the airport, and it can be given as a reason why you can't be located because you're hiding from him, or maybe you've been kidnapped.

He'll think someone's trying to chop his deal but I don't want to scare him off. If he thinks he's going to face gang war at the airport he'll stay away.

I've just rung Mr Pastry (another Gold scammer) as Ludmi!!a just to keep him interested. There's nothing of note in it, but now I've sorted Skype out I do now get something audible. It was a bad line and I can't speak loudly in a falsetto or my voice will crack.

I therefore have two extras from Mali and a potential traveller from Guinea.

The Mali charity scammer has just rung me up as Bertie and I should have that call recorded. He repeats that he couldn't open the pro forma invoice photo. I'll get that re-sent to him.

Hopefully if he finds one deal going through, he'll assume that he's discovered the magic formula for scamming, and bite everyone's baits.

So the scam is to provide money for legalisation fees to get the pro-forma invoice accepted. His kind offer to pay the fees for me will be accepted and he'll be reimbursed in cash when Ludmi!!a and Bertie fly to Bamako.

Let us all, as he suggests, pray that he finds favour. Very Happy

I'd be interested to know who the gold scammer is ds if you'd like to pm me, as I'm aiming to involve some Mali gold scammers, which won't happen if it's the same people.

They haven't called me out on it, but it's still a concern that my gold scammers are the same people.

There is a chance that this is operated as a co-operative effort between colleagues and associates who share formats and websites but possibly don't communicate to protect their money.

Luckily Bertie Wooster is thoroughy disreputable and is more than willing to help them screw over Ludmi!!a. He'll suggest EUR 100,000 with a fifty fifty split and he'll see if they'll agree to arrange some police trouble for her so that her parents can be required to bail her out, but that's just vague and demonstrates how Bertie is really just another scammer.

Playing 'two up' - good baiter/bad baiter is quite useful because it's harder to see through a double act. It's also harder to doubt what appears to be two different people.
