I have been reading a few threads about 'freight baits', and they seem to be frowned upon. Can someone explain to me what this actually is... does this include actually sending goods, or providing a promise only of shipping goods.

I'm cooking up a multi-lad bait where I would create a car dealership in West Africa with surplus models (I'm cooking it up in my head only at this stage). And I have considered 'shipping' a dozen vehicles over, thus triggering a giant cross-border safari. Is this considered a fright bait, despite there really not being any goods?

Freight baiting involves actually shipping something to the lad.

It is frowned upon because the shipping that the lad pays for will be done with a stolen credit card or account.

What you are doing involves no goods, so there is no problem.

Plenty of good baits involve nonexistent parcels (and so do many effective scams). Fake tracking services are a nice convincer too Very Happy

Yep, I just found Rev's AfricARSE shipping company. He's developed some great stuff, and I can already see the potential in his freight company, as lads can watch the parcel go everywhere but it's intended destination.

Back on the freight bait - I don't know why anyone would waste their own money, even to ship rocks, it's still a few bucks. Time I have plenty to give against these guys. But money? Screw that.

One bait I remember, involved a washing machine filled with concrete..

Seemed amusing at the time, but if the lad pays with/uses a stolen CC, who wins?

Creating a scenario that results in a safari seems a good bet..
