As I am sure we are all aware by now that W.U. have now enabled payment
online.
How do members think this will effect scambaiting in general and especially
those newer members cutting their teeth on bank accounts?
Can anyone suggest some modalities for getting round this?

Same as always. I tell them I never use those services. Good and proper business is always done by bank transfer.

If they want to haggle back and forth for a week about it, I'm fine with that. Also, I sometimes tell them to cancel the deal if they do not want to do proper business. Sometimes they give in and sometimes they'll twig.

I've had them come back at me with another character right afterwards and gotten bank accounts from them. Sean John was just such a bait.

Sometimes I take advantage of WU online capacity to steer lads away from using it with me - if they purport to be a business I say no problem. I have dealt with businesses who use WU Globalpay and I know how it works.
Since they are never (in my experience) actually using WU business accounts but only consumer transfers, suggesting WU in this way is an excellent way to avoid using it.

I read once some money went missing from Western Onion, therefore I shall never use them. I like to conduct my business "risky free" therefore I can only transfer money from my highly respectable, corruption free British Bank!

My would be au pairs have fathers or uncles who are fuding their trip abroad. The au pairs are happy to use it, but the unseen payer refues because it is only used by scammers.

The au pair often writes apologetic emails about how her father found out she was going to the WU to pay and he locked her in the cellar as punishment. 9 time out of 10 I eventually get an account or two out of them.

I lost $800 sending WU and MG last year and will never use it again. Forget the deal.

I say that the company I work for has those websites blocked. Works every time. I've also said that I have no credit card and can't use the site for that reason. Or as other have said, no way I'm using WU!

Only when I am backed into a corner after 4-5 account failures, I must wait until I have time to get home and get my personal credit cards. After that it takes me a few days to rig up and get internet. Then I make a secure transfer using the reverends excellent service. When they complain, I told them this was a bad idea! The cia is keeping track of those transfers right?

I use the same excuse as bware, it almost always works. I say something along the lines of it having "gone missing" which to the savvy lad means that I was scammed and am now skittish. That makes me a more attractive mark so they tend to be willing to give up accounts for payment.
