Smallest amount offered in a scam email?

Recently someone started a thread on the largest amount offered, but I'm wondering what the smallest amount may be...

I'm used to seeing amounts between 10 and 20 million dollars, but a new e-mail has landed in my catcher, offering a paltry 150,000 dollars (plus 'a box of valuables').

Is this some kind of record?

EDIT:
I think smaller amounts like this are worrying in that they seem more realistic than the millions usually offered and may be more likely to result in a success for the scammers. Are they getting wiser??

I had a lad from Benin offer me a lousy 10% from 50 grand! I told him I don't even get out of bed in the morning for a crummy 5 grand. He then wrote back and:

I was still learning the ropes and slapped him until it got to $5 million. I kind of went overboard on the insults too early and he twiged on me. Dang!

I got one just today for $4.50 on an ATM card. I'm pretty sure he meant 4.5 million.

I asked him if I could use it as a down-payment on my breakfast.

^^^ Never feel badly about having a lad twig because he is insulted. Lads tend to imagine they are very wise and talented. It is a great weakness to play off to get them to do things--but it is also great to know that you have hurt his feelings--as his pride and confidence in his excellent skills is fun to shake. When an already overconfident lad tries to over-compensate to avoid getting caught he can get astoundinly funny.

I slapped one lad for suspiciously unprofessional scammer-like behavior and writing. He twigged, insulted that I clled him an illiterate scammer. I figured, well, OK he twigged, but he's stupid. Other baiters will carry on.

He returned as another character with a fresh email filled with anti-419 propoganda and a dozen "authentic" logos plastered all over his format to demonstrate his "good guy" status.

When lads start sending warnings about 419 scams in their own opening emails, that is indeed a victory.

LOL about breakfast. The one thing I learned from when I started doing this is to make sure the lad really thinks I'm a mark before I start insulting him. I usually try to get a piggy out of him first so he thinks I'm really trying to get him the money. Once they can taste the payoff, I can say about anything as long as it doesn't include his mama or sexual orientation. Laughing

Here was my reply:

Can you tell me why a whole ATM machine is needed for only $2.50? two dollars and fifty cents can just be sent as cash to me. Please explain why I would need a whole ATM machine for only such a small amount of money. I am sorry for Rose John's sickness but I don't really need this and you can donate the whole amount to charity (her 10% request would only be 25 cents.)

Short replies piss me off when they get off script, so I try and push them to answer every one of my stupid inquiries.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand, yesterday I was offered an ATM card containing 3 Euro ... Holy WOW !

OK, so 150 grand is no record!

I'm wondering if these silly small amounts are proffered by inexperienced scammers who have yet to get to grips with the dollar or pound.
