Yes indeed!
Just keep safe, don't use an email address or other information which could possibly be linked to you and beware clicking on 'attachments' which may contain nasties such as keyloggers and viruses.

Keep your involvement simple in your early scambaiting attempts, just get used to what they do and ask for.

There is a mentoring scheme available here (which I haven't yet taken advantage of) which I'm sure someone will tell you more about.

Oh Joedumass, another point:
If you go ahead with the baiting, please don't let on eventually that you are just baiting him no matter how tempting it may be. (This may be a good point to stress elsewhere on the forum actually.)

One reason for this is we don't want the scammers to overestimate the numbers of baiters out there, as this would make them more cautious and less easy for us to play with.

When the time comes to end the baiting (If it's going nowhere or you are just getting bored) come up with another reason, such as a friend telling you it may be a scam, or a load of other reasons some of the more experienced baiters here may be able to suggest.

^^^^ A baiter never ends a bait, we leave it open for them to come back so we can play with him some more. A lot of times they do! We (almost) never accuse them that this might be a scam. Razz

EDIT: It's also never our fault when things go wrong (money not transferred), it's always the lads fault and we tell them so. When they accuse us of scamming them we turn it around and tell them that we have been doing everything we can to help them and give them money and it's their fault the accounts/transfers fail.

One of the fun parts of baiting, when having a bad day, it's fun to take that and slap a lad around to defuse our frustrations. Lads are fun punching bags. Laughing

Haha, got 2 guys in my mail.
One offering me a loan, and the other one telling he is a lawyer and I got a lot of money from some bank account somewhere.

Let's see what happens when I ask them the dumbest questions and change subjects constantly...
