They're referring to it as the swell of the decade, 40 - 50' faces on the north shore, 20 - 30' on the west.

It's supposed to max out around 2:00 pm local time, about 5 hours from the time of this post. If you want a peek at the carnage, try surfline.com. Select Cams & Reports, Hawaii, Oahu North Shore and poke around. It's raining up north, so some of the cams are fuzzy, but Waimea Bay should be working. Worthy of note; the smallest waves that would be visible on that cam are around 25' as the water is deep out there. If the waves look large, they are!

It's the apocalypse, I'm off to buy toilet paper and water.

And tequila.
