I picked up a dating scammer from fishMfish calling himself Alex here is his opening format:

He then said he was on an oil rig near the Falkland Islands which when I asked if he'd seen any polar bears he said yes. Lots of them Very Happy

Anyways I got tired of him quickly even though he was slick with good english. I told him I was a scammer and that he had potential and should join our gang. He is cautious but interested. Today he asked:

Any suggestions? I don't have a fake FB profile but does someone here who does want to take him or maybe I should say stick to email for now. Ideally we set him up with a list of victims/baiters and let the good times roll?

Ahh that would be sweet B8er. Would you be kind enough to PM me the details and how you'd like him to make contact?

He says he is not in Nigeria (but probably African from his recent photos of pigs in a farm) but I haven't pressed him too hard on his location or methods so don't know if he scams other formats other than love/dating.

If that's his only MO then I'm thinking we can steer him towards an ASEM type of love format and we'll provide him with opening script and a list of emails. But I'll let you decide what will work best if he goes for it.

This went nowhere as the lad never made contact.

You can find a handy introduction to baiting here http://forum.419eater.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=237673 and when you are ready can sign up for the Mentor Program.

One of the things we promote is baiting safely and that includes not using email addresses that have any connection to your RL details. So if you're going to carry on, set up a new email for a fake character (also, your username looks like it is your real name, so PM a mod to get it changed to something more anonymous).
