Interesting thought, but when I read Shakespeare my mind plays it in Christopher Lee's or Patrick Stewart's voices. |

Well, i must point out that i haven't read or seen the movie or even a stage play of the shakespeare let alone seen above mentioned performing it. But i have seen the first series of Blackadder. |

Must confess I have not issued any Bardish insults yet but have used a few Arab-like ones such as 'May the fleas of a 1,000 camels infest your genitals' or 'May the sacred dung beetles roll you into a ball and bury you'. |

Stewart was a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company for 16 years before becoming the Captain of the Enterprise. I went to see him play Mark Antony in Antony and Cleopatra in 2006. He was really good, and the number of star trek jokes they managed to sneak in made the whole thing just brilliant.
Lee never had official Shakespearean training, but he certainly has the voice for it.
Also, Blackadder's first series wasn't great, but I certainly recommend the second, third and fourth series. |
