Lately, i been back to scam baiting and i've always wondered why do scammers tend to use Yahoo messenger alot? |

Instant messaging is a quicker way of getting to the payment part than waiting for emails. See also how they like to call you a million times per day only to say "check your email": lads are impatient. Yahoo Messenger has a large userbase (I assume) and it's likely familiar to the lads who use Yahoo's services otherwise actively too. |

I am just guessing that they started that when they began associating jokers to gmail. I would guess it is loaded on most of the cafe computers because of that.
EDIT: I forgot to add lad logic and laziness in that, along with the ability to tie up huge chunks of the victims time while they pressure for a faster dollar. |

No, it wasn't me. Your green ghost would say lads use yahoo messenger because the messenger is integrated into yahoo. They are using yahoo for Email so it's convenient just to click on chat and open up yahoo messenger.

Um... yeah no. Not related at all. If the question is why do lads seem to favor yahoo then I would suggest yahoo was one of the first free Email providers. Yahoo was free, available to anyone in the world and allowed you to open as many boxes as you wanted. Even back in the day yahoo had many features for a working man and plus more than enough storage. |

I used to get Yahoo chat requests all the time from Lads - but nowadays, almost none.

I think it was the first free email service back in the day and had a chat client connected to it. They use what they know. As for why they use chat, it's so they can scam more than one person at a time. |
