Kent scammer - people losing money as we speak

A bit different from the usual 419 scam but a scam nontheless so, for what it's worth, thought i'd post to see if any of you want to keep this young lady busy.

She advertises (amongst other things) saddles, expensive ones! People contact her, she agrees a price (below the true value but she needs to sell), she asks for payment into her husbands bank (she's getting low on bank accounts as a couple have been closed down already) - she asked me first if I would pay by Western Union and only when I wouldn't did she come up with the account details.

She's had thousands off unsuspecting people already, even though she's out on Police bail. If you could keep her busy, you could genuinely help potential victims in your own Country for a change. She took £380 + £600 off people over the weekend that i've heard about today. She lives in Orpington in Kent.

Her phone number is [deleted] if you google the number it will take you to some of her ads. Her email is @outlook.com [deleted] (with the name in front of the @)

I'm sorry but I was obliged to delete the phone number and email address.

Forum rules do not allow posting any names, emails, or phone numbers with proof of a scam. The potential for someone to use the forum for a personal vendetta is simply too great.

From the Forum FAQs:

What we need is a series of E-mails (minus your personal information) or other evidence like E-mail headers that proves there is a scam going on. If the scammer is already listed at a warning site then you can provide a link to that thread.

There is probably something I've missed. Feel free to add/correct me.

Once I see evidence of a scam, I'd be happy to flood her with phone calls.

I Googled the email address while it was still there. Got three results, one advert and two forum posts elsewhere stating this is a scam. So I'm inclined to agree with the others: more proof is needed.

Thanks to everyone who's replied. I absolutely understand why the number and email address have been removed. I have a series of emails (she's on the money-go-round with me at the moment but it's not enough!). Not sure how to show you headers etc but if you want to meet some of her victims, a group has been set up on Facebook where people are sharing information and contacting various authorities to try to get something done (sadly, with limited success).

The group on FB can be found by typing in "scammed by poppy" - I won't put her full name so it doesn't get edited out of here. There are more victims on the Horse & Hound forum and also Horse Gossip. Trust me, you will find this information very easily as there are so many victims and the number is growing by the day.

I implore anyone to please get involved. Because it's so different to the usual scams and especially because it's in the UK, I would ask anyone who could help to please do so. Even if it's just a quick call to get her latest email address then keep her busy with emails.

As you scroll down, on the right you will see that her scams are the ones reported to Action Fraud, described as a bacs scam, all the others simply say "Blocked". The very first email address starting "joy" is still in use, though she's started another which isn't listed on that page yet. The phone number has been changed but once you get going, you'll easily get her latest number if you want it.

This is not for baiting.
If there's proof, then the victims should call the police.

It's that simple.

The victims have called the Police, she's out on bail and still scamming.

By baiting her, i've managed to get her latest bank details and have actually got the banks attention. Fingers crossed, they will do something imminently.

Then if she's out on bail, it's police business. They need to be informed that she is still scamming.

We do not interfere or get involved by baiting her. To do so could corrupt any legal investigation.

SOOI's right, junior. For the good of this site and all who depend on it we have to remain within the law and not interfere in any possible criminal investigations. You obviously have a personal interest in this and no one can stop you doing whatever you want to do.

My opinion is it might be wiser not to post as it's possible 419Eater cannot be seen to condone those actions.
