So I have this bait going with a lad and we are at the point where he has me contacting various people, like the Bank of Madrid and Madrid Courts of Justice. I got around the submitting my ID and I have been trying to throw him off topic with random things, including a weeks worth of emails about my cat Mr. Jingles dying. I believe we are also getting to the point where someone is going to ask for money. My question is, is there anything I can do right now to mess with him or should I play along like a good little victim and wait to make his life miserable when the money transfer comes up. Any ideas? Bogus things I can send them for time wasters?

If you are about to get to the money transfer part soon, then I would go ahead and do it. Give him a little motivator to start playing more to your tune.

IIRC my first bait involved that same exact routine. Madrid, dying something or other/NOK, sending IDs and jumping hoops.

Propably the same lad/lads.

You might as well go along and see how it goes if this is first bait or nearly so. But you can throw a few hooks and see what that does.

I agree with the comments above and this is where the Bait will become fun so carry on and contact these ‘Professionals’. The requests for money will soon follow so you will have the Scammer where you want him (in your court). When you get a reply forward it to Lad A and ask his or her advice:

This seems like an awful lot of money doesn’t it?
Can’t they take it from the Inheritance?
How about I send them a check?
Ad Nauseum!

Take their advice (Sorta) and ask Lad B or C questions and rinse/repeat incessantly. After a bit you will get a Piggy or two by insisting upon a Bank Transfer and then complain to Lad A that these so-called Bankers/Barristers/Magistrates are incompetent since they have screwed everything up.

Hey thanks for the advice! I will definitely sign up for a mentor soon. I sent him back one form he had me fill out and made contact with the other two Lads. Lad A has another form he wants me to send to Lad C, which I will get to this weekend.

Since the beginning I have been making little comments about fearing the assassin ex wife of the Late Mr. Babbabooey. We are now on day three of emails about how a strange lady I feel has been following me and am convinced it's the ex wife and that I think I should call the police and tell them about the whole thing. The lad is going crazy, insisting the wife knows nothing and begging me to tell nobody and to just send the forms in.

Be aware that since this Forum is not behind a login, everything posted here is susceptible to internet searches. Unique words and phrases (the Title, for eg) could easily be found by a Lad.

That is the downside. On the upside though is that potential victims can also put mr Ballabalouba's name through google and find this thread and be warned.
