Christ almighty, that's dumber than hell ... Talk about setting off alarm bells. Dare say she'll get a spell inside for this, although I doubt her former employer will see any of the cash again.

At least with her picture in the papers and the case blown open, nobody will be daft enough to employ her again. There are plenty of honest people after jobs right now, no need to hire a crook.

So because of her desire for an extravagant 'look at me' wedding, 2 people have lost their jobs. Silly cow should be ashamed of herself.

Will she be permitted conjugal visits where she is going up da river?

Wonder if her boyfriend/husband knew what she was up to? If so, perhaps he should have charges laid on him too.

He may escape criminal charges but don't be surprised if the former employer files a civil suit against both of them since he obviously benefited from stolen funds.

I don't know the procedure in the UK, but in the US the victim employer usually issues an IRS Form 1099 to employees caught embezzling, even if no criminal charges were filed. This makes the embezzler liable for back taxes on the stolen funds. The employer can recover some of the money if the IRS successfully collects -- the IRS rewards up to one third of recovered taxes to anybody who turns in a tax cheat.
