I have read four cases where scambaiter Metimbers has recieved wooden carvings from the scammers, I wouldnt mind one of these myself.
How did he do it? Did he use his real address with a fake name or did he use another address?
Thanks for reading |

Hi Android!
First off, welcome to 419eater!
I think he had it sent to a drop box. Never use real information in a bait.
But we don't scambait to get rewards (apart from the satisfaction and fun) from the lads. Also, having them send you something is probably not easy, takes a lot of experience and/or skills and luck. You should rather start out with some easy straight baits. |

Welcome to Eater, Android. Ditto to what theblob said. There is a tutorial on art baiting in Eater University here:

Check out some of bobjohnson's baits for classic art baiting.
If you become a premium member, you get access to a dropbox so you don't
have to give the lads your real address. |

A safe, untraceable post box, so you can receive without extra unwanted features
Read the posts about premium membership, a small price for added features like a drop box. |

Welcome Android!
Art baits can and do happen. However, these baits aren't as easy as they look. A successful art bait usually involves a combination of skill and luck (all the skill in the world won't help without the right scammer).
You will be more likely to achieve your goals if you work on developing your skills with some straight baiting before trying for trophies. Signing up for premium membership does give you drop box access and additional baiting tools you may find useful. |

Something I thought would be neat, and sort of related to this thread. Anyone who had baited art lads and had them send their pieces of art, exhibit them at a gallery, with the theme "Lad Art" Any proceeds can go to maintaining the site. |

Thanks again for the information . Another newb question: how do I get scammers to email me?
I have already set up a gmail account and used it to sign various guestbooks, yet alas, no scammer emails.
Is there any other way to get scammers to email you? |

Hi Android and welcome to Eater!
There are plenty of scam mails awaiting you in our Surplus forum - just take your pick, and reply to them as if you had received them yourself - the lads will neither notice nor care that they didn't send them to you.
And, for more scam mails than you could ever cope with, you could try signing the Fonda Cox Guestbook - but you will need a separate 'catcher' email account to use for that, otherwise you will get your baiting account in too much of a muddle with such a large amount of new scam mails pouring in. |

I don't want to guess the number - But, lad, isn't that the best fun to be had with MoneyGram reference numbers? |
