He is very upset w/ the Parakou agent and thinks he's set him up as a patsy and stole his check. While investigating his claims I'm looking to have him send us a copy of his photo id and for handwriting analysis a hand written copy of Hamlet: To Be or Not To Be. Laughing

The way this lad is going, looks like we could be in store to send him back to Contonou for his check... unless Ivana wants to send him somewhere else that is.

Well, I KNOW he'd go back to Contonou...but that is only like a 2 hour ride for him (even though there is a border crossing)...maybe he should go somewhere else (since it was FRAUD involved)...

I liked that the trip to Benin City took about 10 hours each way - maybe something about that far?

He's begging me for $50 now and "his brother has a bank account that will accept US Dollars"...so I'll wait a week or two and finally catch a little break financially where I can send him $100 to his bank account...will finally get to write to the mysterious Alan Twisted Evil

Sorry, been busy w/ RL for a while.

Safaring lads is how I'm learning my geography. I just look around for regional airports and learn a little about the place. I gave your "husband" 2 new options earlier in the week to pick up his check in either Lome Togo or Douala Cameroon. I figured he already had a short and a medium safari, time to finish the hat trick with in style with nice loooong one. Wasn't sure if he'd bite or not, but then I got this after a few days of back and forth with him.

Well he's bugging me for $200 this time to travel...I just don't have it...I just had to borrow $100 from my sister (and m7cn worked just fine for me)...

He thinks he can negotiate the date of the check expiration until I have the money for him to go...at this point the check is pretty much expired (I think it was this sunday right?)...so I guess giving him another week since you think your agent was crooked isn't out of the question...

if he doesn't pick up the check I'm going to be mad enough to drop him since it is obvious he's not interested in a little hardship vs. a passport and plane ticket to meet me...

well I think the fun is pretty much over...

He definitely went on safari once, probably twice...2 different locations...but he missed his opportunity the 3rd time...safari over but he did go Very Happy

M7CNed him several times...tried a few other tricks & they all worked on him...

now I am really pissed at him & called him lazy which he did not like at all...
chewed his ass yesterday for about an hour...how I expect a man to take care of his business...

he tried to put the blame on me for using @llst@r shipping - but he didn't really try very hard and puts the blame on himself...although he tried to put the blame on @llst@r itself --

I pointed out he had time to walk & hitchhike if he really had wanted to get the money...that I would have for that much (5k)...

he tried to reach me today but didn't stay on IM long enough to catch me -- wrote a letter apologizing to me...

I won't be around tomorrow either...have real life things to do...not being available is going to continue to drive him crazy & I expect more offline & e-mail apologies ...

Ivana, this is very nice work. One thing I like to do in similar circumstances is to send the lad an ASEM intended for another lad with a similar name. The first lad thinks you are starting to get involved with someone else which tends to generate interesting and frantic responses. I ask the new lad not to disappoint and hurt me like someone else I recently met. Competition for your affection (and more importantly, your money) really gets some attention. And you know how competitive boys, I mean men, can get. Wink

This might bring him back for another trip through the carnival funhouse.

A response from @llst@r Shipping suggested dating boys instead of girls, since girls tend to go crazy, would probably set the poor lad off. Lads hate almost anything to do with homosexuality especially implying they are a homosexual.

I've basically told him we were DONE since he was obviously not the type of man for me. I needed a man who could face hardships and succeed...

He keeps writing me back about how it does his heart good that I wrote to him...

All I've been doing is insulting his manhood, ability to provide for a family, calling him lazy, etc...

I think today I'll send him an ASEM from me to a new lad I just picked up ...
