Something strange happened today and I believe it was an attempt at scamming perpetrated by 3 little girls. They looked like they were 5-7 years old. 
I was walking along a pathway near a playpark and 2 girls were obviously looking for something on the ground. A little girl, 4-5 was standing beside a slightly older girl who was down on her knees intently brushing the grass with her hands. From a swing nearby a third girl cried out as I was passing
-Did you find the coin?
Exactly as I passed the 6-7 year old girl looked up and addressed me.
-Mister, can you give me a 10-crown(slightly more than one US dollar) coin? My friend lost hers in the grass.   
I gave her a broad smile and kept on walking.
-Sorry. 
(Of course, it might have been on the level, but the idea of loosing a coin exactly beside the walkway and then immediately getting the idea to ask a passerby for a contribution struck me as quite SUSPICIOUS!!!!! ) Who can you trust these days? |
