What I received today morning on my official corporate email.

At first glance it appears that this lad (definite scam here) has sent this message to more that just your corporate addy. There's a shite load of this fake bulk purchase/standard 419 stuff coming out of Benin. If you want to bait this mugu I'd suggest that you reply from an safe IP stripping email address. Do not include any real life/work info!

The lad needs to import sea food products. No doubt your fake company will need to view appropriate id and proper documented clearances from the buyer and that's just for starters!

He sent this email to my own email and also a copy to my sales department.
That's why there is CC field.

Actually, this is for the second time he tries to scam me. One month ago he sent a similar "offer", only the order was different.
When I refused to send him samples and to pay for DHL delivery, he disappeared.

If you feel that this lad has directed the scam at you or your employer then the safest and most sensible thing to do would be to drop him.

The email is directed to me, as it begins with my name and my position in the company, but I do not really think he only sent that kind of offer to me only.
After all, is he as stupid to think that if he did not trick me first time, the second time he'll have more luck? writing two times from the same email with the same content?

I will make-up a fake company.

Also, how can I use the fact that I know what he will request from me in the next emails?

There are two ways this scam could go. I had a lad a while ago who wanted fertiliser. I offered to send him bulls**t, and he wanted to take the p*** too (in the form of uric acid). That turned into fairly standard 419 territory with lots of certificates getting my company registered and the shipment cleared.

But the samples line makes me think it will be more like a shipping scam. He will use the massive order as bait, then introduce his own shipping company for the samples. You pay the shipping company, and he pockets the cash. I doubt he actually wants any fish. Lads do take delivery of laptops and such, and I am sure he could sell the fish on if he did get it, but he wont be planning on doing so.

if you have some time, (and I guess you have, as at least for 40 mails in 24h), look around, read some of the stickies, and so on. much information about the way of baiting is around here.

a answer could be... if you think he could send his request to other`s too, just jump up on the wagon , answer his mail as it would have come to your new inbox. and you will see how he reacts.

Does your company have a website that advertises products like this? And if so is your name featured on the site as a contact?

It could be that the lad is visiting various websites, gettign details of the products they sell and then adapting his script for each company that he approaches. Notice how he keeps saying "Canned sardines,Canned mackerel" that to me looks like a paste into his format.

Yes, I have a web-site, where my price-list can be downloaded.
And he indeed chose products as listed in my price-list.

The same thing he did last time. Email content was exactly the same, only product specs where different.

I really think that he adapt his emails for ever victim.
All the information was picked from a b2b site and from my site.

If I was you, I would set up an email account with Gmail, with a name that sounds company like.

Then send him a email something along the lines of "your email was passed to me by our parent company as they don't deal with exports. Please can you give me a few more details of what you require". Don't mention any products, and see if you get any thing back from him.

I think that reply shows that he's not just targeting you specifically as he doesn't have a clue what the products are.

Hopefully he will bite on the mobile phones and you'll be able to safely bait him.

EDIT: I also ASEM'd him yesterday in a similar way to the way you did and have also got a similar response.

Interestingly, his second email mentions a company name and a search on it here shows that he has also in the past tried to purchase large quantities of tee-shirts.
