Found this story in the Police Blotter of my local paper:
Seems some woman got a hitman letter, telling her to cough up 15K or die. The woman believed him, but fortunately she called the police before doing anything. The police told her not to worry, it was a mass-mailing from a foreign country. So at least that story has a happy ending. |

Hi, I heard on our local radio news a woman conned out of �700 a pet scam,
she thought she was buying a dog. They just said that as it was based in Cameroon, police could do nothing and just warned people to be cautious  |
