Hey friends I tried downloading for ELITE through takegame.com/strategic/htm/elite1.htm, but its not able to download on my PC, Can you suggest the better option, from where I can download and try it..

Did you mean download, or run? I would think you may have problems running it on a modern machine.

Try running it under DOSBOX.
