Help finding the title of a kid's book...Solved

When I was a kid (shortly after man started walking upright) there was a kid's book about a boy that got a goldfish for a present. Despite warnings, he overfed it and it got bigger and bigger until it reached the size of a whale. Anyone remember it and the title?

Was it a fish out of water.
I'm sure my cousin had that book.
They had to put the fish in a bathtub?

I bought one of the slags I work with a little 3 gallon aquarium set for her desk with filter, heater, cover, light, gravel, decorations and all that stuff. I set it up for her, made sure the water was fine and put in 3 goldfish. According to the office rat, she was confused about feeding them and dumped about 1/2 container of goldfish pellets in the tank so the fish wouldn't starve over the weekend. I came in monday and the pellets had all dissolved, the water was a murky green and 2 of the fish were dead and I gave them the big flush. I changed the water, managed to save the one remaining fish and now I'm going to buy her that book to remind her she's an idiot.

^^^ Been there. Done that. I had 5 of 'em.
When they were tiddlers I used to clean out the tank like they were goldfish. I still have the scar on my pinkie where one of the little buggers gnashed me.

speaking of kids book there one i have been looking for ,for years, it was "the advantures of the mad scienetist club" or it maybe the mad scienetist club

Oh, that was a good one. A friend of mine had it, or one of the books; I'm not sure if it was a series or not.

Come to think of it, he may have checked it out of the library.

My first and favorite children's book was "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish" by Dr. Seuss. It is one of the reasons I became a librarian. I even do a presentation on Dr. Seuss's books. Very Happy
