About a week ago I got a typical "next of kin" mail, with my real name in it. It was sent to my normal, official mail address. I visit this forum regularly for a good laugh but have no time nor talent to start baiting. So I replied to him, pointing him to "www.met.police.uk/fraudalert/419.htm" and told him to go to hell. (actually in different wording like "go f... a d...".
To my surprise he responded the same day, telling me he is aware of that site, and that the governments set that up to avoid honest people to get money out of their country. He also ststed that he would NEVER EVER want money from me. And as proof he attached a scan of his ID card. I didn't reply again, but got two more mails from him. Unfortunately I am travelling a lot and was in Kiev all week using my webmail to check my account. I deleted his mails.
Anyway, his last one (inserted here) is on my home pc.
Seems to be an easy bait, going off script this easily. Feel free to have a go. You can even claim to be me (mr Moons) and explain that I cannot respond from my other address which is for work only.

Hey whocares
The lad seems pretty keen and a bit too eager!
I know you never have much time to bait, but try not to EVER engage in email conversation with a lad from your personal email addy... particularly your work one...
It's a little too dangerous...
Any baiter who picks this up, is best not to mention Rudy.

Of course you are right. See that I have no talent? Didn't even think about the fact that if someone is baiting him using my real name he still has my personal address.
Still, I am wondering how he takes the time to go off script. Either he "picks" a few victims only, or he didn't get much replies to his attempt.
As far as I remember, he is some banker in Benin. |

That's a standard response when they haven't heard from you for a day or so, the hurry up time is fleeting message.
Could you please edit your OP, and remove or mask your email addy, remove is preferable
read the sickies, bait safe dump that lad now, and rebait from a gmail/yahoo/htmail account with garbage details.
welcome to Eater, have fun |
