Recently I've been getting a lot of spam from "me" for rolex watches, penis enlargement, & the like (meanwhile I don't wear a watch & I don't have a penis Rolling Eyes

). But the sender is my email address. It goes straight to my spam folder, but how do they do this? Is there a way to filter spam like that to go to trash that doesn't affect my actual emails to my mugus? Thanks for your help Very Happy

The "From" email address for spam is meaningless.
The spammers can put anything there as text.

Try filtering the words penis and rolex to go to your trash can.

Thanks, I'll try filtering...certainly any real mugus probably wouldn't be able to spell those words correctly anyway, so they wouldn't get filtered. Who wants to bait a mugu who knows how to spell "penis enlargement" anyway, that doesn't sound fun.

When I started getting the penis enlargement stuff I thought someone had a vendetta on me! Err, I do have one, and it is quite adequate.

My catcher accounts also receive a lot of enlargement, replica watch, phishing. e-cards and other crap mail, and when I can be bothered I add the keywords to filter them to get auto deleted, so that's why they alter the spelling - like v1agra and so on, so now and again I just add the new spellings.

If it bothers you, filter it, otherwise just delete it.

Is it from you AND to you in the to field? If so you could filter on things to you AND from you. Not too many of those will come in in real life.

@The Man/GP Yes it's to me from me, that's a good idea. I'll do that along w/ the word filtering. Thanks! The other spam I get a lot of is ????????????? & stuff written in Chinese. It's so irritating to have to go thru 40 of those to get to real mugus.
