Sucks that he turned off his cell phone, even for an oga! He'll get slapped by him i'm sure for not listening. I'm sure once he has his beauty sleep, he'll turn on his phone again and we'll all hope for a possible webcam "meet". |

That's almost 7.5 hours on the road for a trip that should have been less than 4 hours. Even with the tire mishap, that's pretty slow. |
Wow thats only a 2.5-3 hour trip at max.
I can get to Charlotte in 3 hours from Here in Virginia.. less than that to Greensborro. |

Now the big question... North Carolina or Seattle?
If he goes to Seattle, there's the flight expense and wasted time but overall it's not much "work" for him. Driving around North Carolina is more "work" but less time and expense.

I've decided to push for both a drive back to NC and after that fails, a flight to Seattle as the coup de gr�ce.
I think I've established enough credibility with the Oga to get it going. As long as he can encourage the lad to keep doing the legwork, we're golden.  |

Thanks for the link. I'm going to try to get him back to one of the original cams, only making sure he gets there at an earlier time.
Aiming for a morning visit to Greensboro around 8am EST. That would force him to drive all through the night. |

The Oga has been deperately trying to get his lad back up to Greensboro to meet me, but the lad still refuses to cooporate.
I've just received word that the Oga is has sent a new lad down from Boston to meet me and that he is in North Carolina NOW.

Update: this is getting too hilarious!
The "new lad" is in Charlotte and is driving up, despite coming from Boston.  Sounds like the "new" guy is actually the old guy who is finally compliant after getting severely reprimanded by his Oga.

If it is indeed the original lad driving I'd expect him to be 1-2 hours late. I'm not sure at this point, but I'm sure the Oga will drop a note when he arrives in the city... and again when the lad can't find me. |
