One of my first. It's actually my first (real) post here. I've managed to get to the bank information! If you have any tips and tricks, that would be greatly appreciated!

At this point it got a bit confusing. She replied with "Please update me as soon as you write or send the application to the bank." so I sent back my last e-mail, but then she responded to the first e-mail saying "Both email" and then to the second e-mail with "Send the fill application the bank both email". I just replied: "Ok".
And now comes the conversation with the "bank".

I sent the application form to both e-mails, all filled in with fake information of course. I don't actually know if I should redact it so I'll do it anyway.

I sent a confirmation to Becky. She responded "I have not hear from you" and I told her I got the confirmation from the bank e-mails. She seemed pleased. That was the last time I heard from Becky. Meanwhile I received this e-mail twice:

Since you are about to receive $800K, you are now in a position to be generous. I have often asked the cancer patient what are their favourite charities, such as orphanages, and is it okay to send money to them now, even before the big money transfer takes place. They often come up with fake charities and contacts who can be milked for a bank account since they believe you will be sending your own money.

Of course if they do send the name of a fake orphanage, you can ask all manner of questions about them and get various trophies etc as you string them along. If the virus had not postponed safaris, it can often lead to a safari taking place when you ship gifts to these non existent orphanages.

Oh yeah! Great idea, thanks! I'll do that! But I still need to find a good reason for why they didn't receive my money. I think I'll just blame them for it.

I love it when lads say they work for a bank but want you to use MoneyGram or WU. It was nice of him to offer a piggie so quickly. They never seem to make their story more believable by working for the same bank that he wants you to wire money for some reason. Regardless of what you say to explain the transfer delay you could see how creative his excuses are by asking to take the fees from the $800k in the account. Rebecca will have to approve of course. Usually the scam is a trunk box type situation and the diplomats says it is impossible to touch the money inside until the clearance certificates are paid. In your case Rebecca is still alive and has no reason not to cover the fees since she wants to give you all her cash anyway. I wonder what type of nonsense he would try to feed you to explain that away.

Tell the lad you will look into the failed bank transfer which the bank is very slowly investigating due to staffing shortages because of the virus.
However, to put a carrot on the stick for him, focus on money that is available from your own resources for the various charities while the bank sorts out the transfer issues. Most lads will chase quick and easy cash.....

"She" doesn’t give a rats ass about what you plan to do with the $800k because it doesn't exist. All that matters is the bank fee. It's good that you are trying to get the lad off script just to keep him on his toes. I suppose the lad could have taken a bite if you were more explicit in saying that you want to start donating your personal money prior to receiving the $800k. I like the idea because it gives you a method to fish more piggies from the lad. The problem is that it may take the lad a few days to make up fake orphanages and charities and find other bank accounts to use. Obviously, each orphanage would require a unique account which takes time and work. Lads hate work because they are lazy and they generally dislike bank transfers because they take more time and they have to negotiate with other lads in terms of the percentage that the account holder keeps as commission.

Lad wants you to focus on the fee because you already have the account info. Did you ask Becky if it is OK if the bank uses her money to pay the fees? It would be hard to justify that you can't come up with the fees if you are itching to send your own money to charities even before you get the $800k windfall.

Well, yes, I guessed they wanted me to focus on the fee.
I haven't talked to Becky about her paying, no. I think I will tell the "banker" that my bank doesn't send that amount of money in UAE before a form is filled by them. That'll waist more time.
Meanwhile, I'll tell Becky it'd be easier if she paid herself because I've got problems with the bank.

Awesome. It's also possible that you are dealing with multiple lads. "Becky" may be a low level lad responsible for replying to potential marks. They groom the victim to the point when they're ready to pay and then pass them to a "bank lad" tasked with money collection. Attempts to side track Becky are less likely to succeed in that case because she is basically just a dumb intern with zero authority to entertain opportunities that wander away from the script.

If you go to the FORMS section there are two International Money Transfer forms. One for US and the other for EU. You can give him the EU one if you want since your character is in the UK unless you are hell bent on creating your own forms. If he agrees you could be a total bastard when he returns it back to you by saying it was rejected due to Brexit. The EU abruptly stopped accepting applicants from the UK without warning which put Her Majesty's Government in a pickle. Lad will have to wait for Downing Street to devise a work around Twisted Evil

It's a bit of a long shot, because he needs to take a picture of him with a sign, but if he actually does it, that would be great!

I do think you need to make clear that the $5000 is from your personal funds. The lad might think you are pledging that from the non existent payout.

While the lad is focused on the bank fee, you need to continue to get him off script by placing the focus elsewhere. You control the bait, not him. You really want to do something kind while the bank begins to investigate what happened to the transfer. They are short staffed due to the virus so it could take several days......in the meantime your desire to do good by sending money to a charity that Becky selects means the lad is kept busy. Once they select a charity, ask them tons of questions........one at a time of course.

Becks is just being lazy and definitely wants the money. The lad just doesn't want to be bothered with additional leg work. One idea I thought of last night is to mention that a rich friend/relative is planning to donate a massive amount of money to a bunch of charities. The relative was promised that if they send $20k to an oil executive in Nigeria that they would earn back $200k after one year and the same amount each year thereafter. Your lad will recognize this as a scam right away. Maybe the relative could be convinced to donate the $20k to charities of the lad's choosing. You might get your pet to cough up more pork doing something like that.

Maybe your corrupt banker should enter the scene... Becky (the lad) will receive a message from the banker: "Hey, I know you're a fucking scammer and you wanted to steal my client's money! I warn you that I want 50% of all these stolen money! You won't do anything without me, because your client trusts my advice and I have control over all financial transactions. Together we can steal hundreds of thousands of dollars from his accounts. Don't try to warn him and don't be an idiot!"

Your character can be persuaded to sponsor the construction of a school / church / orphanage etc ... the evil banker takes care of sending the money and Becky must produce all the necessary documents (trophies). Laughing

Lad is creating unnecessary delays and it's all his fault. You could impose a deadline to get it done. Has the bank finished its investigation of the failed transfer? Perhaps you have been advised to wait until their investigation is finished. It can't take much longer than a week....or so.
You could tell the lad that unless he completes the paperwork, it can cause delays of up to 2 weeks in the transfer........
