I just rec'd the news my 90 yr old aunt died today of the covid virus. She was in poor health to begin with, but it went right thru her nursing home and took her in her weakened state.
I know this disease is world wide, but this is the first time it hit my own family. It's no longer just abstract, it is real. So please do heed all the public health warnings and keep this virus as far away from your own selves as possible. I do hope everyone here is staying safe. |

Sad to read about the loss of your Aunty sparky. My thoughts are with you and your extended family at this awful time.
I also hope everybody takes heed of all the limitations our leaders have put in place to not only protect us as individuals but those around us. |

Last November, my aunt saw her son, my cousin, die of heart issues. We went to his funeral and we saw the pain in her eyes at having to bury her own child. She deteriorated quickly after that, so while her death was not truly a surprise, I find losing her to this virus makes it worse. (I hope that makes sense).
It's no longer just statistics, as I can put a face to it now.
Thank you for the kind words......I think I'll vent my anger by picking up more covid lads and torment them. |

Thanks for the kind words. We are all facing this issue across the globe. We live in the countryside here and it seems so surreal what is going on everywhere as we are secluded. My aunt's passing brought it all front and centre.
So please let's all follow those warnings and take precautions as best we can. Let's not just "bait safe" but "stay safe" too. |
