Linoline, I'm sorry, but I think you're overreacting. I could be wrong, but when I read entertain's comment I took it as a joke meaning that we weren't in Line for the $1.500,000.00 he/she was going to be coming into. It never even crossed my mind that entertain meant that any of us are losers. Perhaps asking what they meant via a PM would have been a better approach before calling them an idiot.

Thank God we're all once again singing from the same hymn sheet and we all now understand that entertain was only trying to have a bit of a laugh. Just look above, even Linoline has embraced the concept and edited the post I took issue with. I know some may think NVM could be construed as impolitely dismissive, but I found it highly amusing. Best to act guileless and go ahead. it gives you more scope for confusion and foul-ups later - you can blame those foreigners when that happens.

I always play it straight. You get to the results a bit quicker, and why let the lads know they are a source of entertainment? Plus, the deeper they believe you, the better the rants down the road when the money fails to show.

I go with KLG and straight bait now but occasionally still channel my inner Yastreb.

One of my last long running baits went south after a herd of elephants broke away from their handlers during an Indian Groom's wedding procession because the animal rights protesters were using bullhorns. I used the photos and fake newspaper clippings on two other baits and they continue.

Going outrageous will yield a funny signature line but not as many bank accounts as straight baiting. I had to go in hiding from the FBI.
