I hope this is not regarded as bringing a dead thread back to life. When I tried to post a new thread, a moderator blocked me.

I do not wish to enter any kind of flame battle. I just have a few questions. If this post also gets blocked, I will use a personal message instead.

One of Rescam's claims is that they will send emails until the target stops emailing back. Is that true? And if so, how much harm does this cause any innocent person?

As stated, it was regarded as bringing a dead thread back to life.

A moderator did not block you. They removed a post for violating our guidelines. While that may seem like the jackboots were polished just for you, they weren't.

This autobaiter ran for somewhere between two and six months. I don't recall the exact numbers, and I am also too lazy to search for the info. It was shut down in December 2017 and has remained that way. Like most autobaiters, there was little oversight in who was affected. If I had a coworker that pissed me off, I could drop their email address into the system and, voila, there would be exchanges until my coworker stopped emailing.

Hopefully, that answered all your questions on something that went offline over two years ago. If it did not, PM Connie.
